Storm, Williams await WNBA ruling on eligibility
The Storm are awaiting clarification from the WNBA on whether the league's new prioritization rule will prevent forward Gabby Williams from playing this season.www.espn.com
The Sparks have like 6 combo guards. Idk what their doing. Respectfully.
This cutting season really is no joke.
Maybe opens the door for Clouden to reunite with Miller??? He really liked her pre-draft last year.
Actually, they need another frontcourt player -- Engstler???
Kudos to Saxton, but her making the team makes me wonder about Dawn Staley only playing her 16 minutes per game!!! Could it be considered coaching malpractice? At least I got one thing right. I thought that Engstler and Soule would latch on.
Saxton seems like the kind of player that even if she was getting zero PT, she would never take a play off during practice, remain upbeat, and focus on improving and helping the team do so as well. A no maintenance player is not a bad thing to have at the bottom of any roster.
So does that mean that Allen accepted the minimum?Minnesota Lynx Finalize 2023 Roster
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today set their 12-player roster as they prepare for Opening Night Friday, May 19 vs. Chicago. The game at Target Center is slated to tipoff at 7:00 p.m. Minnesota is celebrating its 25th WNBA anniversary season, presented by Mayo Clinic. The 2023 roster...lynx.wnba.com
They got a player in Kone who has the chance to grow on a rebuilding team.Looks like they waived Maley. Yueru won't be playing this year due to injury. They claimed Koné.
Similar to LA, a very guard-heavy team.
Now that the final rosters are set, who does everyone think will be the top 5 teams (in order) this year? I had LV, NY, WSH, CT, & DAL in that order, but I am probably replacing the Wings with either PHX, MN, or ATL after hearing about the DeShields injury (in addition to all of the players lost in the off-season).
I don't know about officially, but after they waived Thomas & Simms and haven't claimed anyone, it is known.Has the final roster for Phoenix been announced
I believe so.So does that mean that Allen accepted the minimum?
SD-S is out indefinitely (maternity leave) -- which explains the reason why she missed the end of the year last year.
I dunno if I can place them 5th. DT had some great games last year, but had too many games of hoisting 3's, many TOs, playing little D, and giving the Rasheed Wallace stare to refs & younger teammates. Also, another year older increases the likelihood of more injuries for arguably the greatest ever. Who knows how good BG will be this year? SD-S was their best player for most of the year and I can't see her playing for them. Ironically, they played some of their best ball without DT, SD-S, & Charles with Cunningham, DeShields, Turner, Gustafson, Peddy, etc. stepping up, but no Diamond and I'm not sure how the rest (except Turner) will mesh.
The Sparks have signed and waived the middle Samuelson more times than Taylor Swift signs (autographs) and waves (to fans) at her Eras tour. That said, as long as they sign her one more number of timea than they waive her, I'm here for it.
(And I love the idea of two sister acts on this team.)
