Wins/Losses for the remainder of January

I'd like to think we can hold serve at home against Providence, Creighton and Butler, even without McNeeley.

@Nova, Georgetown, and Xavier (with Freemantle) will be tough games. Hoping for 2 out of 3.

3-4 based on the game today. They will take DePaul and throw in another home win.

I thought 5-2 was a solid goal yesterday. Win at home vs. PC, Butler, and DePaul, then find a way to split the other four (vs. Creighton, @ Nova, @ Gtown, @ Xavier).

That would put us at 16-5 going into the Marquette game likely ranked around 15 with Liam hopefully coming back.

Now, I’m not sure. Great to finish it off today. But instead of trying to project I think it’s just gonna be one game at a time for me. Do what you can to hold serve each game day/night then reassess with the 30,000 foot view again on 2/1.

7-0. We find a way. We’ve won back to back. I trust the team and coaches to navigate this stretch.

6-1 or 7-0. Most difficult game is Xavier on the road. I don’t think we lose at home, and Georgetown is a paper tiger (although much improved from last season).

What’s been hard to figure this year with a limited sample size is there has been no home court advantage. We have shown up on the road - although we had to hold off Butler - and then we’ve been meh at home. Granted the big home games have been ones where we have been adjusting to missing a starter - Karaban vs. Baylor, Johnson vs. X and McNeeley today - but would like to see a better version of us at home regardless. Currently, I like our road persona, but I kinda don’t think any game is a guaranteed win until we prove that nobody can come into our gym and punch us in the mouth.

All the people in here thinking it’s doomsday because we only beat PC at home by 3 are hilariously myopic.

First, PC is always gonna be a thorn in our butt whether they’re a KenPom 20 or 200.

Next, this was the first game after losing the straw that stirs our drink. It’s gonna take a game or so to figure out best rotations. We already learned a lot.

Lastly, we played about 25 min of gritty very good ball. 15min of horrible ball that was partly a result of some good gameplanning by English on offense and defense.

Our upcoming comp is not fierce and 5-2 should be very doable

i'm going with a conservative hope the best plan for the worst 3-3. we win our home games (creighton, butler, depaul) and lose our away games (nova, gtown, xavier). we could steal any of the away games but could easily see us losing at home to creighton as well.

Feel like Nova, G-Town, Creighton and Xavier are tossups. Butler and DePaul solid Ws. Could go 6-0, could go 2-4. Think we go 4-2.
