The city really doesn't have much night life. There is a brand new casino that should inject some life but it's kind of off by itself in a questionable area . Typical of the city planners who can't help but screw things up.How's Cincy itself? I used to have business trips about 15 years ago for a theatre chain (operating under USA theatres, IIRC, belonged to Loews) and visited a number of suburbs, including Covington (I think the theatre was called the Florence). We had one downtown location that closed quickly, in the "Skywalk" and I remember thinking the area was a bit sleezy. The locations nearer the [beltway?] were nicer. I think the last theatre we had before we left the area was called the Kenmore??
Northern KY utilizes the riverfront (upscale restaurants, theaters, and aquarium and shopping) much better than Cincy and is a lot more fun to visit. The 275 loop is much more vibrant than the city and Kenwood (not Kenmore) is one of the more affluent areas.
Overall, it's a great place to raise a family. Safe, good schools and reasonable housing and climate.
