UConn lost a super fan today to cancer at 29 years old, RIP Vinnie Lombardi. He was a Waterbury cop and got the team to come to Waterbury PAL to hang out with the kids. He was at the final 4's. All the players made videos recently wishing him well in his fight. Win4Vin

Knew Vin through Twitter. Such a great guy and never stopped supporting the Huskies even when he got very bad news. Puts things in perspective as we worry about silly things like seeding and box scores. He will be missed.

Definitely a character. The Husky hat was a heck of a gimmick, even if it was wildly unhygienic. Made the most of his time, but he should have had much more - the best to everyone who knew him.
