You must be a newbie to realignment if you don’t know about West Virginia “dude”
Oh no I've been around since the major realignment times. I know "The Dude". Didn't know he was still around. I left the board after the faux Big 12 expansion a few years back.

Not sure why PAC wouldn’t raid the B12 as next step.
Or vice-versa. Or they merge. Pac 12 - Big 12 - ACC. It's gonna be interesting.

But 2 programs from LA?

The metro LA demographic is important to TV advertisers. Given that much of Connecticut is in the metro NYC demographic, we make a strong case for ACC membership and even the B10.

Was going to post this. I saw this a mile away, and right before the B1G and PAC12 media contract negotiations is the perfect timing for this. There is no way both UCLA and USC will get left behind by the SEC and the B1G in the next round of media deals.

PAC-12 should have raided the B12 right after Texas and OU left, but they acted like the old Big East and the remaining leftovers will pay dearly for this. It is possible they might still have an edge on the B12, so they should be planning their raid right now just to stay alive.

If USC and UCLA leave, I am pretty sure Oregon and Washington are pushing hard in the background to join as well. PAC-12 better move their asses quickly to raid the B12 to shore up the ranks.

What will happen to Cal and Stanford? I can't even picture schools like Stanford in a league with a school like Baylor or Oklahoma State.
Stanford, sheeeeet.......

I believe before it is all done, B1G might take USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Cal, and Stanford to go to 20. B1G would lock up the CA market and keep the CA schools together. Other PAC-12 schools might as well start calling the B12 at that point.

Travel for the fans. Guaranteed one trip to LA each year. Like a bowl game atmosphere within the regular season and gives one more TV slot for a 6-8pm west coast start time.

ND's commitment to join the ACC if they join a conference is looking dumber and dumber by the second.
Gotta think that they just assumed they had a spot in the B1G whenever they wanted it. Finally the B1G was tired of the waiting and saw the ACC move and said ok, we're done here.

Will be curious where this leaves them

If USC and UCLA leave the biggest winner has to be the Big 12 picking up Arizona, ASU, Stamford and Cal.
I'd actually think that the Pac 12 is going to take more of the Big12 schools, assuming USC and UCLA are the only ones leaving the Pac12

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how this lands us in the ACC as they won’t be losing anyone due to the GOR and they have no reason to add. However, it will probably result in the Pac-12 raiding the Big 12 taking those schools away from the grasp of the ACC in the future.

Contiguous is out. They are missing an entire time zone. What about AAU. BYU?

A lot can happen to UConn men's bb and the football team over the next year or two. A winning FB season and making it into the Elite 8 in the NCAAs may be forthcoming. That could impact the ACC's and B10's impression of UConn.
