Wichita State to AAC?

Well from the American's standpoint, just keeping what they've got is priority #1. Keeping UConn is probably the most important thing it can do and making UConn happy and keeping UConn UConn means adding to their best asset and that's basketball. Wichita State is a good program, VCU would be a good program. I'm all for a bunch of hoops-only adds. I think you can create a really great hoops conference if they're willing to think a little outside the box.

Why would they desire to play in Olean, New York?

They don't, but they have to look at all worst case scenarios. There are about 200 D-1 teams that wish Bona was on their league schedule, because their league is worse than the A10. Most likely, it wouldn't come to that for WSU, as there would likely be enough left in the AAC to keep them happy. Remember, you can't look at it from a UConn point of view. WSU would be coming from the MVC, not the old BE.
