I have been a loyal Uconn Fan for over 40 years. I spend hundreds of dollars on Uconn Apparel yearly. I subscribe to HULU live because it covered all my bases. All of ESPN including ESPN Plus. All the Fox Sports Channels including FS1 and FS 2. I also us the Foxsportsgo.com app to watch games as well for the womans games that are on SNY. I live in Tennessee now. I also have CBS SPorts Network for the other games mainly football. I did not need an expensive plan if I was not a Uconn Fan. My point is that this Peacock Baloney is not fair to the loyal fans. How much more do I need to spend. Very disappointing. Mr Benedict, it appears you sold us out.

This has little (or nothing?) to do with Dave Benedict, it's the conference. The Big East, like every other conference, was chasing more money and signed an additional rights deal with NBC to show BE games. The deal includes other NBC properties such as Peacock. The deal really kicks in next year so be prepared for more games on The 'Cock for the 2025-26 season.

EDIT: Be aware that the first five games of the 10-game Big East Tourney will be on Peacock. And lots of other BE and B1G games are aired, also.

It's free for the next 3 months if you sign up. Then you cancel. Last month I got it for 6 months for about a buck a month. This was all posted by multiple people here. Jeez.

But let's keep starting multiple threads now blaming UConn and the AD who have no control over this.

Again, it's FREE!

I got a year of Peacock for 20 dollars using a deal someone posted here. I've spent way more on tickets, this is a value compared to being at the game. Pretty sure the B10 is going even harder on Peacock than the Big East.

It's perfectly reasonable to be upset about it. The whole thing with every entity wanting its own separate subscription is incredibly stupid and has to burst at some point.

Just think of it this way. NBC paid the big east for this package this means more money to the school. UConn’s athletic department needs the money as we all know. Any additional revenue stream for the conference and UConn helps.

I watched it on a streaming website on computer. BE tourney on Peacock first 2 games? At that time if anyone is interested and they let me tell……

Do you now have all kinds of computer viruses with pop up ads for sites? :)

My son tells me he and his friends watch everything on illegal streams without getting computer viruses. He says you need to know what you're doing. I don't even bother asking. My wife has every streaming app under the sun so we have Peacock.

Peacock probably the best of the streaming services. Has great original shows, but adds the live sports angle. I get it for free as internet only household and it’s terrrific. I couldn’t imagine paying for it though.

ublock origin plugin is all you really need. Maybe something like Malwarebytes browser guard too if you want to be extra careful. And just don't click on any links or download anything

I have no issues using logins and sharing, or getting logins from a familt member and throwing them a couple of bucks.

But illegal streaming, I am just done with it. It’s weird, you really should have a VPN, and I want top quality audio and video.

When a friend is like, let’s watch the Wickles movie on this steam app, I just pass.

Agreed. I'm so tired of needing 5 or 6 different streaming services just to watch all the sports I follow. I also don't like having to sign up for free just to watch something and then cancel. Just a hassle. Sports will definitely lose followers long term, but the sport organizations don't see that, they only see the short-term financial benefits of cutting deals with every provider possible.

Too many subscriptions needed to be a fan. I’m good with however people find a way to watch..and there are ways.

VPN is probably a good idea too. It's more of a pain than it used to be but if you find a good one, oftentimes the actual video quality is better than the official stream. I hate paying for products where the illegal version is of a higher quality.

I enjoyed listening to it on the radio especially in horrendous CT traffic.

I pay half of what I used to with my cable package and I dint have a bunch of crap I dont want. With my apple tv device its super easy to cancel whenever Im not using a streamer. I only use Netflix for two months of the year. Peacock about half the year.
