Why Even play SCJ?

SCJ doesn't really have a lot to offer imo, slow defensively, not great handle, slow overall, streaky shooter, don't see how he gets that many minutes? Anyone wanna help me understand why?

He has a good handle, he is slow and imagine a streaky shooter? Pretty much all we have right now. I'm guessing you were okay with his 11 points in 12 minutes vs Michigan though?

Sam has played pretty well this season. He shoots well when he squares up. I think he is great to have as a 4th guard.

That may be an unrealistic expectation. Rashad was incredible. Sam Jr. does everything reasonably well except move his feet on defense. Sam can help this year.

Yeah, just a tad. Pre-illness Shad was amazing, a tour de force on the offensive end with that shot. Maybe he was referring to Shad while sick, that Sam can do.

As husky 4 life stated it's Sam or Omar , that's it. He is what he is, same with Omar.

With the way our shooting has struggled at times, I think Omar and Sam Jr will get numerous chances to come into a game, fire up a few threes and see if they have it that night. It's a pretty nice plan to have 2 guys who can be very hot come in and heat check it if the starters' shots aren't falling. We have a bench this year but there isn't a ton of offense there, so these 2 will get minutes and will get the chance to pop a few shots, hopefully for us they fall frequently

Why not play him? Is he taking minutes from Enoch or Adams? No, he is taking minutes from Omar. Keeping him ready and in the game should at some point pay a benefit.

He's a solid shooter at times but I feel like that is nullified by how he can be a liability on defense against good talent
