All of this was explained before and we can't do anything about it. Since the NCAA pays for the teams travel expenses in the tourney, when a team can go by bus in theory ( within 350 miles) they put them there to avoid air fare costs reimbursement. There is also the rule regarding the number of teams from the same conference being in the same region. So, Stanford goes out of the Portland region and Lville and NC State 'drive" to their regions in Ft Wayne and Greenville. We go to Portland as the #2. Is it fair, is it right, is it meritocratic? No. Is it gonna happen? Most likely. We can beat anybody right now if we play our recent "new" game and as Geno said, you have to beat everybody anyway to win it all. I realize there is a FF streak but you don't get the trophy for that, only for the last win.
