As a guy who is an important part of UConn basketball history it was hard to watch Kevin Ollie in that press conference. What needs to happen next will not be pleasant but it has to happen.

Its pretty obvious Coach Ollie can't access talent, develop players and implement a game plan at this level. UConn plays with no heart, discipline or energy and he is unable to motivate them. Selfish play and half effort is more the rule than the exception this season. And the idea of in-game coaching adjustments seem to be just that...an idea in the abstract which is never implemented.

IMO the demeanor and response of Coach Ollie in the press conference showed he knows its over. Coach Ollie does not need to hated or ridiculed but he does need to be dismissed. I will always credit him for his contributions to UConn basketball and the 2014 National Championship. Hopefully his termination can be conducted with class and compassion but it is time to move on.

Jesus. I think everyone knows this isn't working and a change is warranted. But this kind of stuff is just dumb. It's a broken program, it's a lost season, he's a broken dude. How you would expect anyone to be in a rah rah mood at these things after yet another terrible loss in a long line of terrible losses is beyond me. The season is lost. It was an abomination. Under Ollie's "leadership" the program is in shambles. I'm amazed the team continues to show up to take it in the culo night after night. They are very much going through the motions at this point. Ollie's defeated and he's acting like a guy who's defeated. Saying he should be fired for his press conference body language at this point in the season is moronic.

He has made a LOTof $$ from the athletic Dept so far and stands to collect $10 million heading out the door like @whaler11 just posted. He also makes $3 mill/yr and this is part of his job! Add that to the fact he has brought this all on himself..Inhave ZERO compasson for him as a coach having to answer to his performance!
