Just as the title says... mine would be:
Shabazz, Kemba, Ray Ray, Rip Hamilton, and Okafor.
Honorable mentions to Donyell, Caron, and Gordon.
 
Last offseason we had a pretty extensive discussion about this and actually did a historical fantasy draft and then voted on the team by team outcomes, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Pretty sure there was also just a lengthy thread about this same topic that wasn't the draft around this time last year.

Also if I were making a 9-man all UConn squad (9 so that team depth is realistic and to drive the point I'm about to make home) I think I'd have Boat on the team as an extra ball handler/defensive stopper/3pt shooter, even if it means leaving off Bazz.

We should do that again, wonder if Boat would move up.

If someone had a lot of time on there hands they could simulate the match ups on whatifsports.com
 
Wasn't there a thread a few weeks ago about this??

i dont think there's a wrong team and i feel guilty not mentioning guys but i'd go:

1. Kemba, Gordon, Ray, Donyell, Emeka

2. Bazz, Rip, Caron, Adrien/Cliff, Voskuhl/Thabeet

I have exactly that first team, and the only change I'd even consider is squeezing Kimball onto the second team and bumping Thabeet.

The main reason I don't have Donyell in my first team is because he played before I was even born. From what I've heard, he was nasty.

I think as far as 1st and 2nd teams go, this is spot on. Leaving off Rudy is VERY tough.

If I had to pick a 13 man roster of UConn guys...It'd be a bit different though.

Starting 5 are the first team.
PG Kemba Walker
SG Ray Allen
SF Richard Hamilton
PF Donyell Marshall
C Emeka Okafor

My bench would be as follows:
Rudy Gay - Scorer off the bench
Caron Butler - Attitude and scoring
Shabazz Napier - backup PG and shooting
Ricky Moore - lock down defender and back up ball handler
Rashad Anderson - Lights out 3 point shooter
Jeff Adrien - Muscle. Enforcer
Hasheem Thabeet - Rim protector
Josh Boone - Rebounder/Defender

Very tough to leave Chris Smith and Scott Burrell off this list....

And Gordon. Much as I love Anderson, Gordon was a better shooter, and did a lot more things well.
 
Guess Wes B gets no respect or most just don't know anything about him.

Probably doesn't make first team but after Ray there probably hasn't been a better SG to don a husky uniform.

I've never seen him play, and there's no video of him, but I'd be hard-pressed to imagine that he was a better player than Gordon.

He wasn't a better player than Ben, but a better shooter? Yes ,but having seen both Wes would have had a tougher time getting the shots off that Ben did with today's athlete no doubt, but he was a great one.
