I agree the Yakwe was a huge lose because his type of defender is necessary to what we want to do.
Carlton simply is not athletic enough to cover missed gambles.
Carlton battles but is not there yet.

Let Gilbert apply great ball pressure but everyone else needs to just play solid and not overhelp either. Our crazy defense makes us foul too much and gives up too many layups where the help defender is 6’1” and isn’t going to protect the rim. Hurley didn’t play Sid when he first became eligible because he needed to “earn his minutes” but how has Polley continued to earn his starting position? It’s time to bring Polley off the bench.
