Leaning towards ND.

(1) Big East
(2) Ending the Baylor winning streak. The only thing stopping Baylor from a 80+ game winning streak is tonight and next year's matchup(s) with UConn. I don't see anyone else seriously challenging them.
WE will seriously challenge them next year. They only beat us by 5 at their place this year....with another year of "older and wiser" I think the next game will be a W for us.

[And this is just a strange reason and I will probably (perhaps rightfully) be criticized for it - I actually feel bad for Griner in certain ways. It cannot be easy being 6'10" and I'm sure she has heard more than her share of whispers about her height, her looks, her voice. I'd like to see her win.[/quote]

Wow, thought she was 6'8". Maybe all the ESPN hype has caused a growth spurt.

I am cheering heartily for Baylor tonight. I have no problem cheering for the number one team with the number one ranked star player ;) As for Sulkey, I will just view her as an entertainment feature for the evening, and I am looking forward to the drama queens losing this one to the better team. ND should not have been in the semis anyway, they free threw their way through the tournament.

I've waited until the last minute to decide - and..... I'm going to root for Notre Dame. Why? Because I think they're a better team, because they beat us, we beat Baylor and thus that would make us second in the polls (as though that matters for much), and lastly, because even though I don't like Diggins, I do like Novosel.

I'm hoping for lots of whining and pouting on national television.
Me, too, Milford! Schadenfreude alive and well on the Boneyard! BTW, I know a lot of people here check out other boards...did UConn get any love from ND fans two years ago, since we're both BE teams? Somehow, I doubt it, but someone here probably knows for sure.

Did you get your wish?

Didn't watch the game. Even if I wanted to (which I didn't), I ended up having to do work tonight thanks to a coworker leaving for another job just before a major project goes live. I watched the score online, but the box score doesn't record pouts, whines, or looks of disbelief at foul calls. What was the stat line on that for ND? Any tears shed?

Peters stomped off the court yelling and screaming after a foul, Diggins whined several times, Novosel scowled all night, her shot was NOT falling, I'm not sure if she scored without being at the charity stripe. Griner dominated: she gave a very impressive performance. No one was beating Baylor tonight.
