I think if you asked any one of these players they would state that is not an accurate statement at all - I know for a fact that CV and AG did not feel they received 0 from KO and staff. In addition I think we know how Carlton felt about Hurley and found happiness with Sampson at Houston.
But I agree that it was great to see CV and Whaley stick it out and these two guys really bleed Husky blue.

Johnnie Selvie, Caron Butler, Super Tone Robertson, Jeff Adrien, Dyson.
Not gonna lie it was tough for me in 2002. Thought we had Maryland down the stretch until Blake broke my dreams.

I watched that game at a ESPN zone in Atlanta with a UConn T-Shirt on. The pain.

Read my mind. Its easy to think, given how great those games were, that UCLA in '95 and Maryland in '02 were the only teams that could knock us off in those years. We just played them too soon.

Putting up 96 on UCLA and Ray having 36…and losing. Wild. 94-96 had some killer teams.

I thought MD was the best team in 02 but man we had them on the ropes. Caron was pulling a Kemba. Sometimes those shots fall (Blake) sometimes they don’t (Horne).

Jalen Adams and Christian Vital. Adams would have gone down as an all time great Husky if he came here a few years later

CV and Jalen Adams. Jalen Adams gave us a lot of good moments when we didn’t have much to cheer for.

I love CV and those guys, but I find it wild people are listing them over Ray or Donyell. Even Caron or Price.

Nadav Henefeld
Or Tim Coles 1985. With us replacing Memphis and making it an all Big East final four.

Definitely Christian Vital. Maybe some recency bias, but his senior year was really special and imo a key part of returning us back to success, even though the final W/L record of that season wasn't great and the tournament was cancelled.

I do think that the 19-20 team could have made noise in the AAC tournament. They were rolling at the right time, and a big reason why is Christian Vital
