If you don’t see that there is so much more momentum around everything UConn...

When something so arbitrary stirs this level of excitement within a fanbase, it is typically a sign that the fanbase is spoiled as hell and destined to splinter at the first sign of trouble.

UConn fans in this case are the equivalent of a kid who threw a tantrum until they get their ice cream cone. It's a quick but temporary fix that only creates more problems in the long-run. They got fired Kevin Ollie fired in the same way.

UConn fans can think they're better than the AAC. In reality, their own fans have voted loud and clear: the UConn brand isn't strong enough to survive a step beyond their own insecurities.

I'm in. Will try and get more as we approach.
I've invested too much of my passion to quit on this program!
I will be the last one standing!

Clinging to the goal posts while they're trying to tear them down!

Was doing yard work last week and the wife was grilling hot Italian sausages for dinner. I said hey it smells like the Rent, we will be there pretty soon. I look forward to the 5 to 6 hours of enjoying life and pushing all the work and BS into the background 6 days a year.

As I said on another thread, I am going to do all I can to be there, but I've got some serious rearranging to do with the family schedule. We are booked into a place on the Cape for the last week in August. Probably have to leave the family in Brewster, drive to the game, then hightail it back to the Cape in the wee hours (at least the Bourne and Sagamore bridges should be clear sailing).

Wouldn't miss the home opener or any home game - Rarely have
This team needs/deserves the support
Would be nice to have Geno and Dan Hurley bring their full teams also - without the pretense of signing autographs - just to show support

Curious as to the results. After the announcement came that UCONN was going to Big East I saw a a lot of posters say they were done with UCONN. But there appears to be a turnaround here. So I ask - who is going to the Wagner game.

I’ll be the first to respond - NO

First home opener I have missed since the Rent opened.

I’m going. But no turnaround. The program is going to die but that doesn’t mean I am bailing early.

Can't make it, it's my wedding anniversary. Of course, I will be discreetly checking the score at whatever restaurant I happen to be in . . .
