Perhaps, though certain parts of the country would differ with her about the date. Funny thing is that I was very conscious about WCBB back in 1983 and 1984 because the USC Trojan squad with a core of Cheryl Miller, Pamela and Paula McGee, and Cynthia Cooper got a lot of attention, especially at tournament time on TV. Have to admit that in the following years WCBB didn't have much of a blip in my mind until 1991 when the Huskies forced their way emphatically into the game.
And trivia-oid: What current coach missed a final end-of-game shot that would have tied the score for reigning champ Louisiana Tech against USC in 1983?
