OT: Who felt the earthquake about 1030?

I didn’t notice it, but 4.8 is a real earthquake for the northeast.

Felt it in my basement in Thomaston. Thought my washer was spinning out an uneven load until I remembered I was in the basement.

whole house shook pretty good and a lot of people almost immediatly went out on the street to either ask “what the flock was that?“ or talk about it.

Same thing in Brooklyn

I’m in Fairfield. Felt the pipes shaking in my basement. Then my phone blew up with friends asking, did you guys feel that !?!

I heard an odd boom and then whole house creaked for a few seconds. I also wondered if we’re on some sort of fault line or something here in Glastonbury. Someone tell Coach Hurley that his house was shaking - “literally us against the PLANET.”

NJ has a few fault lines. Actually not wildly uncommon to have earthquakes, they’re just normally very small and don’t get felt far out or even there.

Definitely along the shore west of New Haven . A jolt with some noise. Thought something had fallen in another room.

My office building on CT shoreline felt it upstairs, but not at ground level. The phones blew up for a bit.

Just glad Avelo didn't have a crash landing.

Did somebody drop their Bai?

I can tell from Facebook that a lot of folks in my town (Bristol) felt it, but I didn't notice anything, or if I did, I chalked it up to the wind or heavy vehicles, and forgot about it immediately.
