My vote has to go to Martin. I love Adams’s game, wish he would kick it out more often but love how he has embraced his role. However, Tyrese is the heart and soul of this team. He does it all for us with a confidence, flair and toughness that hasn’t been seen in Storrs since the days of Donnie Marshall.

It was just Grambling, but to my eye UConn looked like a team that had been freed to show its identity. Dan Hurley said as much in the post-game. It was no accident that Whaley was the game MVP, no accident that Hawkins and Cole dominated the offense, no accident that UConn's mobile bigs...
