How many social medias you often used? Please select 4 of your favorites.

I use Facebook quite a bit & like it.
It has a lot of different group pages that serve individual interests, and many locales have a "town talk" page with discussion about local topics of interest with people who live in your town.
Or you can watch an international video topic and comment about it with people from around the world.
Or use it to keep in touch with your family & friends.

Boneyard and Rutgers are message boards to me. Of the listed - I am on Facebook, I go on a couple times a day. I have a friend (and UConn fan) who posts both memories and mild political memes (without comments), which I enjoy; I catch up on a few folks that I haven't seen in years, but consider friends. I see posts from a few community based groups.

I post something maybe once a week, maybe less. Often weather, or pictures of holiday decorations. Nothing significant, really.

That's it. Full stop. I see Tweets and such when they are in message board posts. My wife has an account. I don't use it.

I don't consider You Tube social media, although I can see why it fits the definition. I have sometimes watched a video that was on YouTube, especially in folks musical posts on the BY. Never posted a thing.

Youtube becomes more of a social media when someone posts videos on their youtube channel & shares them.
Even if you only repost videos that other people make, & use new, additional keywords that are easier for others to find when they do searches, you're making the videos more accessible to the public.

Whatever media you are using, please make sure that your profile is locked down tightly. Don’t share your friends lists, don’t share your location and don’t share personally identifiable information. The most innocent things can make you vulnerable to social engineering and lead scammers your way. Be particularly careful of benign looking questions such as ‘do you remember your first grade teacher?’ as these are attempts to steal password hints. Use two factor identification wherever possible. Please stay safe!

No one uses Reddit?
I read lots of Reddit posts special for some different political views. If you have any questions, Reddit is the best place to find the answer.

Reddit had 430 million monthly active users in 2020.

Instagram users over time, 2 billion monthly active users
YouTube users over time, 2.67 billion
Facebook users over time, 2.96 billion
Twitter users over time, 450 million
Tik Tok users over time, 1.8 billion
Pinterest users over time, 450 million
Snapchat users over time, 363 million
Linkedln users over time, 900 million
Reddit users over time,, 430 million

Boneyard users over time ???

Yelp has more than 178 million visitors every month across its platforms. Among them, 90 million monthly users come from mobile: 33 million from mobile apps and 57 million from mobile web browsers

Youtube is considered social media? I listen to music on it, but have never posted anything.

I might join Facebook when I retire, just to keep in touch with family.

Often? None of those. I'm still in love with my landline (sometimes I pretend it's a party line)...lol And the sound of a pen gliding across stationary is hypnotic to me. I have given up licking stamps.:)
