Boston College once they reinstate their Division 1 basketball program.

Until then its probably Kentucky. People have forgotten how really bad their fanbase is since they haven't won a championship in a bunch of years but they are insufferable beyond anyone else's fanbase when they actually do win........

a little weird seeing BC and National Championship in the same sentence

just saying

:)

They are annoying, but the icing on the cake is Calamari. The coach I despise more than any other.

Kentucky and then Syracuse. I have never been one of those "lets root for people in the same conference" types and now that they are leaving the Big East I hope that many others feel the same. I would consider it a great tournament if neither of them makes the final four.

Im splitting hairs between Cuse and Kentucky I wont say Duke because they have a very small chance. I live in Western Mass and have to deal with some annoying Cuse fans, I am able to have good conversations with their fans at least, some of them were rooting for us when we played Kentucky in the FF because they cant stand Calipari, while some of them dont like JC they at least respect him, they did put up some get well signs of JC so while they can be annoying they at least have some class and respect the game.

Arguing over who broke up the Big East, it was the schools that voted against Penn State joining in 1982. No way, Pitt, West Virginia, Syracuse and even BC leave a football conference with Penn State in it.

As to who I don't want to win it all:

1. Kentucky
2. Duke

.-.
dook has no chance of winning whatsoever. Is there a more useless player, when not making 3's, than Ryan Kelly? He's an nonathletic slow POS oaffy jumpshooter, and nothing else.

I'll root against dook the whole tourney, but I'm scared to death that the squid breaks through this year.

That said, I thought they had no chance in 2010, and lucked into a ridiculously easy bracket. They trounced WVU (somehow--still stuns me), and then got Butler in the title game. They won the title in a year that Syracuse and Kentucky were clearly the best two teams.

Trust me, I'm afraid that this Duke team will win the title. You never know.

That being said, I'd pick Duke over UK.

Coach K is a respectable guy so even though a lot of players on their team repulse me, I wouldn't go crazy over a Duke ship.

Calipari on the other hand is the biggest piece of scum in the coaching fraternity and I would hate to see him win it all. Can you imagine Coach K ever going around saying "Other teams don't want to beat us, they want to be us" like Calipari has.

Exactly. Kentucky and thw squid are so vile, they would make me root for dook! THINK ABOUT THAT.

Maybe it's just me but I get physically ill when watching Duke, and the camera pans to particularly privileged sports families like The Hills and The Rivers gloating in the stands as they observe their spawn. This is not to mention the constant shilling by the sports networks for them. I don't get how Kentucky even compares to that.

.-.
Syracuse. I hope they get beat in the first round. If they don't I hope they lose to an ACC team on a controvertial foul at the buzzer...might as well get used to getting jocked by the real ACC schools.

I would love to see Duke play Cuse this year. I would get to watch Fab Melo run near a Plumlee on one end only to have both fall to the floor as if shot (double flops).

Amen, brother. Preaching to the choir here.

Normally I don't need to bother listing Mizzou, at least since Norm Stewart and Anthony Peeler were there, but this year, pretty damned good.

I could live with Cuse or NC. The only problem with NC is that Williams will find a way to screw it up.

I don't want Roy-Boy to have as many titles as JC for historical purposes.

Right now, all time best coaches:

Wooden
Rupp
K
Knight
Calhoun
(Sorry Dean Smith--you gotta win titles with all that talent to make this list)

There's a gap after that. I don't want Roy sneaking into that list of coaches with 5 titles.

5? Do you mean 3? I like Roy well enough. He let the law school play on the floor of Allen Field House.

1. Kentucky
1.0000001 Duke
2. Cuse

Mizzou looks like a fun team from the few times I watched them this year. I also followed them a little bit when Kenrick Moore (from Hartford Public) was there as well. That must have been 15 years ago. Wow, time flies ...

Yup--5 guys with at least 3 titles. That's what I meant.

I don't want any coaches getting that. But if it were UNC-UK--Go Heels!
If it were UNC-Duke-Go Heels!
Duke-UK-Go Devils!

Roy's got 10 more years. I suspect he'll get on the list eventually, if not this season.
