I used to root for Cuse, until I found out about the abused ball boys.

They didn't destroy the conference. Blame Pitt if you want. Blame WVU--they were the best football team, and they forced themselves out quickly. And UConn would have, and should have, left if they could.

tru dat, Cuse football is laughable, not sure the ACC really knows what they are getting
 
I thought the question was which one team, cheaters. The answer, of course, is Duke.

If I had to round out a top 5, like so many of you are doing, it is:

2. UK
3. UNC
4. Michigan State (still bitter about that Final Four home game they got 3 years ago)
5. Syracuse - because they're traitors to the Big East; under other circumstances I'd be rooting for them

wvu left after pitt and cuse already left, and conference was already ruined. wvu is also not a founding member of the conference. how is cuse any different than pitt?

Conflict of interest for Pitt. They were in charge of the contract that they rejected, among other things.

Syracuse just did what we all wish we did.

As for West Virginia. I don't have a problem with their leaving. I was happy for them. But then they refused to follow the contract they signed and sued their way out 2 years early.
 
The Dook love in this thread is making me sick. Just watch the Dook-UNC game tonight and you'll be reminded by how much you hate Dook. I hate Cal as much as the next guy, but Dook has the whole enchelada of *kery. A cocky coaches son, a cocky NBA players brother, three really annoying Plumlee's, the ugliest player in college basketball (Kelley), and the coach who most resembles a rat.

The worst part is definitely the fans. They aren't even huge basketball fans, they're Dook fans first and foremost. The emotion you hear at games is more school spirit than a love of the game. I don't like Kentucky fans either, but they are less pri*key in other walks of life, and you know they would run through a *king wall to win a championship. And their players aren't nearly as unlikeable.

Duke is always the team I most hate to see winning a championship. I'd rather spend a week changing old people's Depends without a second's rest than watch Duke win another NC
 
UK v. Duke: Go Duke.

At least I respect Coach K...

Plus, K is already considered one of the greats. I don't want Calipari ever being considered as such.
 
I did not know there was another choice....Kentucky by far. Syracuse does not bother me, they may be our biggest rival and I hate when they beat us, but I still have some respect for them. The squid is despicable, runs a program immorally and dishonorably, and then gets away unscathed. I was so happy when Bob Knight called him out when he took the job at UK. Success at that cost is never worth it. We have had our share of problems at UConn, but it pales in comparison to what Calapari has done everywhere he has gone. After that, I would hate to see Ohio State, Puke, or Florida (not that they have much of a chance) win it all.
 
For me it's Syracuse and it's not even close.

Then Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State and West Virginia.
 
As much as I hate Duke, my first choice would be them. But I can not stand Coach Calipari and I would rather see Duke and coach K holding the NCAA title than coach Calipari. He just bugs me for some reason.

Syracuse 1st by a mile, UK, Duke, & UNC all tied for 2nd.
 
I think this thread might be the exact opposite of sportsmanship. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
 
Kentucky because the squid has been getting away with under the table assistance from World Wide Wes with impunity for years...and the NCAA doesn't seem to care.

I also dislike Dook of course but I don't see them being a threat to win it all this year.

Syracuse is a great team but it would be horrible to see a program that systematically enabled the second ranking member of their staff to molest young boys for years, then conduct a weak, CYA motivated investigation several years back that they entirely keep out of the press and even now accept NO responsibility for what they did, get rewarded with a national title...after two weeks nary a peep about this in the press...DISGUSTING!

I root for UCONN.
Then, all the mid majors.
Then, Texas (though I am against their entry this year-ha!).
Then, Clemson (not in it this year).

I basically root against all of the premier programs.

I actually like Boeheim, not so much the ''idea of Syracuse."

And strangely enough, I've started to like Coach K over Roy. Not sure why . . . .
 
Kentucky is the worst. Don't want any ACC team winning either (Cuse, Dook, UNC)
 
Puke. It's only that. Really. It's the only school I truly hate. I thought their last run to the finals (09?) was a fluke that was caused by an undeserved 1 seed, a very weak field, and favorable venues. I think their coach gets waaaay too much credit, and the "4 national titles" is much of the reason. They get another one, and idiots like Vitale will be saying they're the best program ever.


While I dislike Cal, I like his players - they are clearly the best team in the nation. Them winning would be sucky, but wouldn't really bother me.

I'd like to see Syracuse win if we don't. I've always liked their style of play and I like the coach.

After that I really don't care, but I'd prefer no ACC.
 
1A) Duck Fuke, but they have no chance anyway
1B) UK


I'll take UK >>> Dook, because there's always a chance Cal would have to forfeit the FF appearance
