Screw Syracuse. I dont want to help their program at all. Georgetown and UConn never had a series of games that got nasty or were memorable (for me). I would pick Pitt (but they didnt make the cut evidently). We had some great games against them in the last 10 years both in and out of the BE tourney. Khalid on the scorers table with his UConn jersey for the crowd - crazy fun times.
My bad for leaving out Pitt - we did develop a nice rivalry down the stretch.

Do you think a non-conference game with them would carry as much hatred though?

I really hate all the teams listed above. Of the original old BE I also did not list Seton Hall because they are garbage and I don't hate them either.

I've lost interest in all of them but anytime UConn can play in NYC
it will help. Cuse or Georgetown are both National TV game.
So for strictly pragmatic reasons its St Johns, Cuse, And GT
I don't consider Louisville, Pitt, WV Real big east teams

I agree. In that same order.

There was no more entertaining a game than against the Cuse - something about how we match up against that zone... Also love how their fans exhibit more -baggary than even us.

Syracuse or Georgetown would sure bet nationally televised games, would mean big TV $ and recruiting exposure. Villanova and St Johns(because of NYC) would have a possibility of being national games. PC or BC not so much. Do they even play nationally televised games?

Ray versus AI? That time got pretty nasty

Syracuse causes the most excitement. G'town, Nova & St. John's for the big city exposure. Those games make most sense.

We don't need Nova as long as we and Temple are in the AAC.

Syracuse until Coach B retires. After that they become irrelevant in upstate New York. After that G-TOwn.

I don't see what Syracuse brings that Georgtown or UL or even Nova wouldn't. Unless it's in MSG or Barclays, why play in bumf$&@ NY

I don't care about any of them. Maybe Marquette if Buzz is there.

1. Cuse
2. St. John's - if they are top 25, if not G'Town here
3. BC - if they beat Harvard & Holy Cross two years in a row
4. G'Town
5. Nova -
4. Pitt - we had some great games but are AFC North
5. PC - always play us tough

Says the UConn fan who's Huskies are 5-7 against those Friars in the last 12.

Actually, its 6-6.

I like how you went back 12 games. Especially since UCONN has won 3 of the last 4 and 4 of the last 6 in PC's "Super Bowl" game of every season.

Screw Syracuse.......largest group of a-wipe fans and we don't need to put ourselves in that OOC schedule with LeMoyne, Concordia St, Oswego St, St Lawrence and Colgate!!
Hahaha. Agreed. Huskies in DC? I'm all about that

Only St Johns. Why not add another home game in the Big Apple?

I have no problem adding PC to our schedule. I'd offer them the same deal we've had with Fairfield the past couple of decades.

Cuse at the Garden is a must!

I love the idea of playing Syracuse at MSG. There is nothing negative that can come out of that situation. The one thing about the Big East I will personally miss the most is going to games at MSG for the tournament. We always had wars with them and the 6 OT game just brought the rivalry to the next level and like it or not...that game defines the UConn-Syracuse rivalry. Every time we played them since, that game has been mentioned in the telecast.

I never want to play Pitt (scum) again and- since it would have to be in the NCAAs- it appears my wish is coming true.

Gtown and Quse. Only because I despise Gtown as a team (Pe- Toowey!) and Quse's fans. Once Lville leaves that would be a great series.

I've been watching BE games since the first year, yet I'm indifferent to playing all of these schools now. It used to be a thrill playing a top 10 Gtown or Cuse team back in the 80's, but those underdog days are gone forever. It's more interesting playing top teams from other areas of the country.
