Yes, my uncle lived in NJ and his company had season tix to Nets and Devils, so he got tix for my Dad and cousin.Last row of the upper deck in the corner that Burrell threw the in bounds pass from. My grabdmother had Nets season tickets and one of the perks is we got tickets the opportunity to buy tickets to the east regional every year back when it was in the meadowlands most of the time.
With everyone standing up, I couldn’t actually see Tate catch and shoot it, I just saw the ball come down and then go back up and my dad gasped as it was heading in.
Married 7 1/2 years at that point. She knew what she was getting intoRookie mistake.
For your sake I hope you were newlyweds at the time.
I was ten. We had one tv in a tiny little room. My mom, dad, and I were watching. My mom and I left the room when Clemson took the lead and were processing what happened in the living room. All of a sudden, I heard the loudest scream in my life. My dad might of lost his mind. He was jumping up and down. The whole house was shaking.11 years old, in my living room watching with my mom, dad and sister. We won't talk about the next game.
At my parent’s house in Ridgefield talking on the phone with my brother who graduated from Clemson. The thrill of victory for me and agony of defeat for him. He got payback when Clemson destroyed UConn in football.Thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane.
Where did you watch the shot?
I had to study for a test but took a break to watch the final minutes. Was in my living room by myself yelling and screaming when it went in.
And people say lawyers are spoiled. Calling an establishment in Darien a dive bar is the equivalent of my wife telling her sisters she’s going camping, when what she means is we’re staying at a Hilton or Sheraton because the ABA picked that hotel for a convention.Went to a dive bar in Noroton Heights (as unrealistic as a dive bar in Darien may sound) because a friend knew the owner and convinced a few of us to watch the game there.
Thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane.

It legitimately was a dive bar. Not sure when it opened, it was gone (and the building demo'd) a couple years after that game. And people say lawyers are spoiled. @ RPI ?Walking the streets of Troy NY so I wouldn’t cave in a guys head who was hounding me about the Clemson lead and Connecticut choking. I was 3 seconds away from an assault charge so I walked out. I missed the shot live and saw replays then told the dude to f himself about 60 times. No punches thrown.
Yes, I forgot about that, it was awesome!Sophomore year at UConn living off campus. Had a bunch of people watching at my apartment. Beer went everywhere.
Anyone remember the video kiosk machine that they put in the entrance level to the library the following year? Had “the shot” video replay on it. Played it everytime I was going in and leaving the library. The library may have been a disaster but at least it had that great kiosk, lol. Ah, the good old days before the internet.
