Have not seen a thread dedicated to his 'announcement'. What is the latest. We're coming up on the 36 hour mark to decide...

Well, we are asked to conduct ourselves as though a player is returning until or unless it is reported by the player, his representatives, or the university. And the deadline for announcing for the Transfer Portal is tomorrow (at midnight).

Seems clear enough to me.

Didn’t something similar happen last year with Alex? Took forever to announce because of contract details or something similar. Hoping the same is true for Solo.

Would think they're working through the NIL calculus. He's the kind of kid, that even if Hurley thought there was a better roster with him moving on, he'd still keep Solo.

Already said it ... I think Solo is crucial for this team. Minutes could be a discussion - someone hypothetically posted minutes for our "current" roster with Khamenia getting more. Not saying it's accurate but brings up the good point of does Solo in his senior year gets moved out from what he worked hard for the last two years?

I rather have senior Ball over Khamenia starting at the 2. Let's see how this works out.

Khamenia isn't starting at the 2. Where did you get that from? He is a 3 who play some as a small ball 4.
 
Minutes are not issue. He will start every game. If he goes 0-5 he will get pulled. And he will start the next game. Zero issues on playing time.

Didn't get it from anywhere - but there's such a plethora of guards / small forwards - only the coaches know where they'll be playing. With Solo - I count 5 for 3 spots. If you think Ross / Khamenia plays the 4 then great. Not a mind reader.

Ross will just be a 3. If we lose Ball we will need a 2 or at least another guard who can handle. I see Landrew as more of 3/4. I know we have County but not sure if we feel he can backup at the 2 but not sure what our NIL situation is especially after getting another decent big hopefully. We will just have to let the Ball announcement playout. Right now we aren't looking at any guards so maybe we know Ball is coming back.
 
Dauster weighs in with his thoughts - referred multiple times to UConn having the best BC in the country next year with Mullins at the 2, before sidekick asks him about Solo. Said he thinks Solo/staff want him back, but don't want to pay him what he thinks he can get in open market as a redundant piece to Mullins. Take it for what it's worth - Dauster is in the loop, so I'm sure he knows more than he's leading on. Feeling 50/50.

Maybe Castle will come in after playoffs - teach Solo some tricks for Point role. Castle always stated he wanted to be labelled PG in the NBA coming out - maybe Solo will work on being the 2 and backup PG - IDK man - bs'ing this. But currently there is a logjam - hoping for the best - want him back and utilized!
