Where does Newton rank all-time?

I think the ’who’s the best PG’ argument misses the point a bit. Newton gives this team just exactly what it needs, just as Kemba and Shabazz did for their teams. What I can say is that I personally don’t think he’s done getting triple doubles this year.
I think unless he gets another against UNH, he's done getting triple doubles. But he's fantastic.

Why? He has just as good shooting around him with Karaban improving and Spencer now there, and his pick and roll opportunities for assists with both Dan Hurley and Johnson go up as well. Sanogo made a ton of plays on his own on the post; that won’t be the case with our two bigs this year. A slashing Castle will give him plenty of chances for assists too

He now plays in control and does not force his game like he did early last year. He has to be top 5 along with Smith (He was the original Husky Guard) Napier, Walker, and El-Amin.

I think he could, but if the other guys are preventing him then they are giving something else up which is also good for us. This team could care less about individual stats. It is an All Team game they play so again it wouldn’t surprise me if he did it again. He is a great rebounding guard and assist guy. He doesn’t need to score double digits for this team to be great so perhaps that will prevent him from another triple double.

stop. he’s not close to kemba or bazz.
Tristen is really good, but we’re talking about All Americans who were the best in the country.

Tristen is winning, but he’s not even the undisputed best player on the team.

He didn’t win a championship, but AJ Price was All Big East a few times during its peak too.

Got one against Marquette last year.
That was an amazing performance. I love this kid. I hope he gets a couple more!

I find it very cool how someone who seems to play so laid back on the court does what he does.

He’s the best outlet passer I’ve seen in a UConn uni.
I think Doron had him beat, but Tristen definitely had shades of Doron with those beautiful outlet passes to Samson and Hassan yesterday.

Doesn't Ajax deserve a mention in that conversation?

Maybe, but I feel like Ajax pushed the ball more with his legs and then dropped dimes in transition versus tossing long outlet passes off rebounds.

Newton is damn good, but Shabazz and Kemba combined had I think just Deandre get drafted. Newton will have potentially 3 lottery picks.

And no chance Kemba or Shabazz allow a team to take the ball out of their hands like Texas did to Newton a few nights ago.
I can pull up boxscores of them having bad games lol
