With that money he could afford to move his entire family. Don't tell me they wouldn't love to move to southern California. Connecticut doesn't even hold a candle to it. I would move there in a heartbeat if my wife was for it and she would be if we had 3 million reasons a year to do it.

I lived in San Diego for a couple of years. I didn't care for it.

Geno would consider taking the USC job about as soon as he would sign Dr. Kevorkian up as the Auriemma family physician.

Sorry, but that is exactly what I am going to tell you. Connecticut and the northeast is now home. His elderly mom will move? His two daughters, son and grandson will just leave? They are adults with lives around here. And his wife would move, leave friends and family?

Southern Cal is beautiful. But so is Connecticut.

Yeah, but it never hurts to encourage "I might be leaving" rumors when it comes to contract negotiations.

Um, just an outsider's take - Geno going somewhere??? Nah.

Yes, incidently, he probably can keep UConn relevant for a while, but UConn does need to change conferences. If they don't, the post Geno era will be the post Leon LaTech era and the post-90's ODU era. Geno can pull it off, but I really don't think anyone else can.

That said, I have said repeatedly that I am sure UConn will end up in a "power conference" or whatever they call them by that point.

Plus his restaurants would get firebombed.
