What's going on with Geno's contract extension?

Um, just an outsider's take - Geno going somewhere??? Nah.

Yes, incidently, he probably can keep UConn relevant for a while, but UConn does need to change conferences. If they don't, the post Geno era will be the post Leon LaTech era and the post-90's ODU era. Geno can pull it off, but I really don't think anyone else can.

That said, I have said repeatedly that I am sure UConn will end up in a "power conference" or whatever they call them by that point.

Connecticut and the northeast is now home. His elderly mom will move? His two daughters, son and grandson will just leave? They are adults with lives around here. And his wife would move, leave friends and family?

Plus his restaurants would get firebombed.
