I understand and agree with what you're saying, but maybe they don't do it at halftime (as you suggest) because they want a "captive audience". At half time people meet with other people, go to the bathroom, get something to eat...leave their seats and are no longer "captive." At least that's how I see it.
I agree.

After thinking about it for a while, this is one of Geno's classic (as in old) tactics. If yelling, rewards, cajoling or whatever else don't work, he makes himself the bad guy. If the team is disjointed, not all on the same page, they might want to come together as one to stick it in Geno's face. And no one would love that more than Geno himself.
Yep, we been down that road before.

About the student section, the school puts little to no effort into gathering students for the women's games at the XL center. There were no signs around campus, no emails, nothing to get the students attention about the game. The other problem with the XL center is that it is off-campus, so the university gets buses to take the students there. But, they charge the students to take the bus ($4 a ticket, which is more than the game ticket costs for students) and you have to buy the bus ticket a few days in advance. So, they basically make it nearly impossible for students to get to the XL center for a game, especially the women's games.

Which is another reason why I can't stand the XL center

Plus it is hard to cheer for Ohio State. ;)

As a born-and-raised Michigan fan...

Yeah. :p Very hard to cheer for anything in Ohio State colors.

All I know is last night and every game I go to I am loud and try to get the crowd into it. Last night I was able to do three cheers and the crowd did respond but not with as much excitement as I thought for a big game. But they did cheer.

A company gives away tickets to fb,mbb, andwbb when co big shots can't go. A person who won the tickets ,which were in the lower bowl was told to not whoop and holler "because these are company seats and who ever sits in these seats represents the company". The fans gave the tickets back. A great example of the "suits".

Sure I do.. but why couldn't the crowd be like the one at Gampel on Saturday night? Syracuse was up by 14, and the crowd never died down

My wife made that point to me today. The difference is either the arena or the fact the Women's crowds get deflated when they're not up by thirty points or more.
