What UMass can teach UConn about life as a football independent (Courant)

I’m interested to see if that “recognition” continues as an Independent football program on the go forward - my gut tells me it won’t.

As long as Big10 teams continue to schedule us for home/home OOC games, I think the distinction will hold.

It's way less about what UConn can/will offer, but more about accommodating the scheduling preferences and granting flexibility to their current members.

UMass does NOT have two (2) huge financial burdens that UConn does: (1) coaching salaries & (2) stadium rentals!

Actually, the biggest difference between the two schools' athletic budgets is with administrative costs.
