What the hell is up with Jeremy Lamb?

Honestly, Lamb is the least of my concerns right now. Bad shooting nights happen. I'm pretty sure he was shooting over 50% or close to it coming into the game. My only concern is that a bad shooting night deters him from shooting more in the future. He is one of the best pure scorers in the country. I want him shooting 20 times a game.

I noticed early in the season that teams would consistently make him drive left, which seemed to put a bit of a cramp in his game. But how the hell did his shooting and over all effort drop off so badly? This is our go-to scorer and he's looked really really bad lately.
And every damn time the camera zooms in on him after a play, he looks like he's thinking "I have a small penis. I quit."

Regardless of how many shots he's gotten or how well he's shooting, his body language has sucked since mid-December.

Really the thing with Lamb is that he is going away from contact and he is not getting the ball in good spots. There were at least 3-4 spots last night where he curled off a screen and didn't receive the ball on time or at all.

Guys can have bad shooting games, but what about his effort on D? Or for that matter the effort of the entire team. We are a team that bends over instead of hitting the floor. I really hate that.

Some players hit the floor, but not enough of them.

This.

Lamb had at least 3 or 4 shots that should have gone in. I'm pretty sure 2 were more than half-way down and came out.

Chalk it up to a rough night, and move on. Lamb is not the player we need to worry about. We were down and he tried to take over, and simply couldn't. All teams know that he doesnt need a lot of room to shoot it so they're expecting him to shoot at any moment.

On a somewhat related note, where is the pass/shot fake in our offense? Lamb should be ball-faking all day with the amount of attention that defenses put on him, and you have to respect lamb's shot. He needs to ball-fake and drive into the lane. When he's in the lane, he needs to quickly put up his floater or pull up because defenses are collapsing to him a lot quicker than last year. The offense is extremely predictable and methodical, and we simply aren't changing what we do once the defense has a read on us.

Umm, Lamb likes to go left.
He's good driving to either side when he has a clear out, but make him go left and bring a quick double on his dribble hand and it seems like he turns it over every time. That doesn't happen as often when he goes right.
Either way, he's clearly thinking about whether he should shoot the ball, even when he's open. Then he exacerbates things by jacking up ridiculous 26 footers. And they aren't even jumpers, they're leaners. Come on Jeremy, you're better than that.
