What Statistical Records/Career Rankings Are Approached or Usurped This Year?

That was a real gut punch, bowl eligibility will have to wait another week.

What a great day, game, and most importantly win. Glad I started this back in July, the exceeding of expectations week over week has been a joy to watch.

Joe passed Matt DeGennaro (1989), Chandler Whitmer (2012), Cornelius Benton (1991), and Shane Stafford (1997) in single season passing yards with only Orlovsky blocking the top 2 spots (Joe needs 515 and 646 to move up), and passed 2 Shane Stafford seasons (1998/1997), and Dan Orlovsky (2004) in single season passing TDs. Skyler cracked the top 10 in career receptions passing WR Coach Kashif Moore, while also passing Carl Bond (1998), John Fitzsimmons (1998), and tied Reggie Eccleston (1980) in single season receiving yards. Bell also claimed sole possession of the single season receiving TD record breaking the tie with Carl Bond (1998) passing David Dunn in career receiving TDs. Cam moved into the top 10 in career rushing TDs, tying Arthur Williams. Chris passed Domingos Carlos in career FGM and passed Mark Carter (1989), Bobby Puyol (2015), and David DeArmas (1995) in single season FGM. If he hits his next 3 FG, he will move back into 2nd in single season FGM%, it will require him to hit 6 in a row to move into a tie for first. Bryun Parham is now 8th in single season sacks.

Nice to see Cam get his moment in the sun as he had not popped off like this since Ball State.

Joe has hit a soft ceiling as far as records just chasing Dan O in single season yards and TDs. Skyler moved up one spot in single season receptions passing Mark Didio (1991) and is shooting up the single season receiving yards records passing Reggie Eccleston (1980), Geremy Davis (2013), Glenn Antrum (1988), and Keith Hugger (1981) in single season receiving yards [amazing how congested single season receiving yards is from 1,075-1,180]. Bell also moved up one spot in career receiving yards passing Keith Hugger. Cam moved up one place in career rushing passing Vinny Clements and cracked the top 10 in career and single season rushing TDs passing Arthur Williams and Vinny Clements while tying Ed Long and tying Lenny King (1956). Chris passed Bobby Puyol in career FGM and pulled into a tie with his 2024 season and Matt Nuzie (2004) in single season FGM. If he hits his next 4 FG, he will move back into a tie for first in single season FGM%.
