What is the opposing teams thought process when playing UConn?

For ninety percent of games UConn plays the opposing team knows they will lose and yeah, if they can keep MOV under thirty that would be great
And if not - whatever, still gotta study for a test afterwards. I'm not saying the players will dog it; no one wants to be embarrassed and seeing how well you can do against Sarah has its charms
But no one relishes getting a butt whipping. Teams in the BE,nand the AAC before that aren't exactly thrilled to know that winning the regular season or tournament championship just isn't going to happen. How about if UConn has most of their squad injured and have only six players healthy and start two freshmen, does that open the door for other BE teams to win out in the conference? Nah. I don't think players on the other conference teams hate on U Conn players. I'm pretty sure that they are pretty much tired of UConn as a team. You can say, well, get better. They try but it isn't happening, at least in the short term. I honestly wish that like the men's game that middle of the pack teams can beat the top teams or at least make a game out of it. It will be a while before there is enough talent to go around for that to happen. There are more good players than in decades past. The time will come when UConn like dynasties will be hard to maintain. Not real soon though.

Like everything, it depends on the kid(s) and the leadership of the coaching staff. The landscape is what it is.
How about: team plays UConn just twice, team competes with the rest of the league to the best of its ability, win league games and OOC games to get an at-large bid to the NCAA. Plenty of fun to be had by all.

It also depends on the institution. No, I don't mean NIL or any other BS. I mean, not every institution supports athletes academically and training-wise equally. And they expect kids who will focus a ton of their attention and energy on the team. It's like a sort of contract: we will support you, help you finish your studies, get a degree, and prepare a resumé for the next level and in exchange you have to give everything you got to making yourself and this team great. When Geno recruits, one of the things he's looking for is kids who can live up to that implicit contract.

UConn is very good this year. Can any team really stay with them without a lot of help from UConn? I don't think so as long as they have their full roster available. In crunch time they can play 5 players that other teams have no chance of matching up with and they can do so many different things to beat you.
To me the real question is what would the second 5 at UConn be ranked if they were on a different team?
