Ketchup, probably because it makes some halfwits completely lose their minds.

There's nothing like a dirty water dog with ketchup outside of Yankee Stadium.

$3 gets you two dogs, a soda and a 25% chance of #2ing yourself before first pitch.
Thanks bro i got a good laugh out of this.

Im a mustard and relish guy but when i want to splurge its mustard, relish, kraut and crushed lays on top.

I'm shocked 43% put ketchup on their hot dogs, I thought that was just for women & kids :)

Neither of which dominate sports message boards, although I sometimes wonder about "kids"

Cheese and grilled onions is a great combo.

You’re eating a hot dog. It’s in the same food group as chicken nuggets and tater tots.

No matter what you put on it, you’re already sitting at the kiddie table.

A Mississippi State blond coed

In L'Ville its a hooker

Spicy brown mustard and fresh relish. Blackies in Cheshire/Waterbury have the best dogs in the state. Amazing relish.

Spicy brown mustard or honey mustard and chopped red onions. On ocassion I'll change it up with some BBQ sauce.

I've only ordered hot dogs out once since going to Hot Doug's in Chicago before they closed. That was adult food.

And that other time was in Pgh, at a place owned by a James Beard nominee, which added kimchi to my toppings repertoire. I eat dogs for lunch maybe 2x month, probably chili #1, kimchi #2 and if I have the ingredients, a facsimile of a Chicago dog #3.

My father held part ownership in a kosher meat and food distributorship. Hebrew National, Issac Gellis, Manischewitz, etc. I learned to eat hot dogs one either boiled or grilled.

But always with sauerkraut, mustard and onions. To get that in Dallas, I either make my own -- or go to, of all places Costco, which offers sauerkraut. (-:

If you used a good mustard, you'd know better

The Best Hot Dog thread is up to 9 pages. It occurs to me that most of us have our favorite toppings. Pick as much or as few as you'd like.

Mine vary. I can do a chili dog, a kraut dog but usually I will put on a little mustard. Option 2 is relish, mustard and onions.
Agreed on any given day those all work for me!

Worst things I've ever seen on a hot dog at actual establishments charging money for them: peanut butter and cream cheese

Usually, just mustard. However on occasion, if I wanna get all fancy schmancy with my dog, I’ll throw on some chili and chopped raw onions.
Always mustard*, and it's got to be spicy, none of that French's yellow. The Nathan's mustard is great, also Gulden's spicy brown, and horseradish mustards. Then Sauerkraut and/or onions.

*Unless it's the Chili - Chopped onions - +/- Cheese option. Then no mustard.
