The last piece of UConn's 2016-17 non-conference schedule is in place as Dayton will play at UConn next season and then the teams will have a home and home series during the 2019-2020 and 2020-21 seasons. Which team gets the home game in '19-20 still has to be determined.

The Huskies will be playing eight teams currently ranked in the Associated Press top 25 in the non-conference portion of the schedule including games against No. 2 South Carolina, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Ohio State, No. 6 Baylor and No. 8 Maryland.

Schedule's awesome but Dayton isn't the team of last year anymore. They just lost to Duquesne by 30. We'll see if Jabir can bring in talent after this nice run.

They did, however, lose their top player, Austria, for the season.

Yep Hoopgurlz had Dayton's class ranked one better than UCONN. 3 top 100 players.

Well taking a look at who graduates from each of those teams I still like our chances. Yeah we lose Stewie and Mojeff but I like what Im seeing in Saniya Butler Nurse Katie Lou and Collier. Dangerfield is coming in and will have a year to learn the UConn system and we will see who comes maybe Walker. The only thing I keep in mind is our defense and even though Geno is not happy with it we are playing two freshman who are still learning and we are still winning by a lot. Next season some of those teams we are playing are losing their key players. MD graduates a lot ND graduates Mabrey 1 and Cable and Turner is still not 100% and Reimer left the team. Baylor graduates Nina Johnson and Ohio St gets transfers Sierra Calhoun and Mavunga. Our defense will win us a lot of those games.

The obvious key is Morgan Tuck. I believe if Tuck is gone UConn is behind South Carolina, Maryland and Ohio State. (not only OSU getting key transfers but so do South Carolina and Maryland.).

Another great OOC schedule. Without Stewie and Mo I would bet that these games will be a little more competitive. Looking forward to it....after winning this year's NC.

We've won championships without Tuck. Stewie, Mo, and three dead bodies are probably enough. By the end of the season, we'll have Tuck's protégé, Collier, with a season of experience under her belt, plus KML's replacement in KLS having logged significant playing time as well. And then there's Butler. And The Gabulous One. Don't worry, I think UConn will be OK, Tuck or no Tuck.

Yea, but we don't want to be ok.

Canada didn't kick our butt... Kia Nurse did. And we helped get her ready for that. So that doesn't count.
Plus, Geno wasn't coaching them.

Ha! Yup, we trained our own assassin.
