What’s next immediate need? PF or Center

I don't think Ross should be a starter, His defense is questionable .

It was announced today that Jordan Burks from UCF entered the portal. Would be perfect backup PF but likely wants to start. Avg 13.3 pts, 4.8 rebounds and shat 37% from 3. 6ft 9 205lbs.
Did he vomit the other 63%?

Backups:

Demary/TBD/County
Mullins/County/Ross, Jacob
Ross/Landrew
Khamenia/TBD
Hines/Giltay

Bundalo is the top free PF, but he's not coming to backup Khamenia.
Next up is Sheek Pearson from Marquette who at 6'11" 200lbs is an interesting size for facilitation.
Next up is Aaron Bradshaw from Memphis. 7'1" 215 PF is crazy. Maybe just get him and watch the show. Him and Giltay would be hilarious.
Interested in Mirtic from Penn State - another euro player looking to move up a little.

For PG, Ugochukwu from Michigan State, but I think we're getting Nils so let's see how that settles and focus on PF behind Khamenia

Bradshaw is the most anti Hurley player in CBB.

So hard to guess - just have to sit back and watch.

Yeah, I meant that as a joke but I think we're at the point where not a lot of movement will happen before the NBA draft.

If rotational PF really means a player who will get somewhere in the 5-7mpg range, wouldn't mind taking a look at Mayar Wol, Isaiah Manning or Antonio Chol (probably in that order).

Wol and Chol would be Seniors and pitched on championship opportunity and reasonable NIL $$ (low 6 figures). Manning would be a tougher sell since playing time may be a bigger priority for a Junior that could turn a strong season into a bigger payday.

Otherwise, if its primarily a practice piece/emergency reserve player just grab a willing body that's a culture fit (a la Koroma) and call it a day.

I'd think that's exactly the kind of profile they'll be looking at.

Such solid advice. I think I'll stick with it. Thank you for your service.
See how that stuck to basketball - try it. If you want to apply your oddities to grammar and things of the such, there must be a grammar message board out there just waiting for your contribution.

Ditch your predictions and speculations and I might take this point from you more seriously.

My various contributions seek to affect the tone & tempo of a social media site on a topic near and dear to me. In candor, I don't attempt to control the conversation any less than you do. At least I'm aware of this, hold it openly & modestly, and seek to have more fun with it.

My sixty-two year journey as a fan is a valid viewing angle, and I don't even fall back on your flacid "It's just a basketball message board" when I've run out arguments to buttress my errors & excesses.

Keep on chooglin'. I will.

I respect that level of commitment.

I hope not. Maybe a game or 2 with foul trouble or injuries but if Ross is playing 30 minutes we didn’t pick up too much impact in the portal. Or maybe he improved a lot again, then I get it.
I don’t think anybody on this team is playing 30 except Mullins and maybe Demary. Nik is not going to play 35 like Alex. Ross shouldn’t play a minute at the 4 if it can be avoided. Maybe late game holding a lead when we need ball handlers who can shoot FTs.

I know we haven’t seen Hurley with deep rotations but I think that’s in part because he never wanted to take Alex or Newton out. He doesn’t have any vets like that now except Silas, but he tends to foul enough that he has to come out.

Long winded way of saying, we need another PF who can play 10-15.

Mullins/Demary are going to be 30+. I'd think if Nik catches on, he will be too. Not a lot of alternatives there and me thinks Hurley targeted him with intention. AK averaged 29 minutes his freshman year.

We need a deep bench because anyone can pick up 2 fouls in the first half.

We need legit backups for each position.

For Silas - can it be County? Dunno let's go with TBD portal/euro
For Braylon - can it be County? More likely so going with that
For Ross - very likely can be Landrew
For Khamenia - TBD portal/euro
For Hines - Giltay

And anyone's guess at how Jacob Ross is developing.

Then we need break glass C and G because what happens if County gets the ankle in practice jinx?

Any word on Washington Husky Franck Kepnang?
Last word I heard he was considering a bunch of Big 10 schools. We don't really need him as looking for more of a PF with versatility I think to play inside and out with size.

I would probably swap Manning and Wol if I were putting these 3 in order (bulkier, better rebounder and averaged roughly twice as many assists, plus he has experience in the Big XII) but agree with your overall sentiment. Nice list of names, all are realistic targets I think.
