I meant when comparing Khamenia's offensive numbers with AK, you have to remember that Duke had a couple of high volume shooters that limited what Khamenia was able to show. In the UConn offense he should have more opportunities to score.

But yes, there is only one ball and plenty of offensive options. Nik might have to wait a year to show us the full arsenal.

I like the Hines pick up, however, I don't think he is a championship quality big (maybe in a year or two), especially on top of a lack of depth at the 4/5. To cut the nets down Hines should be a really good back up, not the player we need to rely on in the post. That said, I don't think there is much out there left at the position that is better than Hines so I'm sure we are looking for one more big that just fits the Hurley mold, whoever that is.

He is a ridiculous athlete for his size - I think he’ll surprise people. A better athlete than even Tarris. He’s not going to have the polished offensive game coming in.

Yes, we all trust in Hurley and no the coffers are not unlimited as Danny pinpointed in his recent speech. That is what take time in finding full roster. Unless you have serviceable (I.e. one step behind the starter) rotation, you are one injury away from risking your entire season in college hoops of stacked rosters of Michigans/Dukes. Yes, we fought our way to the championship game. Would this conversation be different if Braylon missed that shot? I am certain it would be about how we could have made it with healthy team and/or deep serviceable bench. So yes, deep bench is very much important. And you cannot just rely on a freshman hitting that shot too often or Duke players

Landrew has a 6ft 11 wingspan and can absolutely backup the 4 in addition to playing the 3. I think We are going to get another legit center to backup Hines or even possibly allow Hines to play the 4 at times.

A lot of daydreaming these days. Hurley isn’t going to magically play two post players, or play his forwards at the 2. Thanks for living in reality with the few of us that are still here.

This assumes no improvement from him, which isn’t a solid assumption given this staff’s track record with player development, including, in particular, Tarris.

If the staff agreed with you, he wouldn’t be on the roster. Hey, you could be right and they could be wrong. They’ve missed before. But unlike Mahaney, who they expected to step up against better competition, we already know Hines is a Big East caliber player.

Additionally, folks need to think less Tarris Reed/Sanogo.. I.e. feed the post and run the offense through that…. And more 2024 Clingan/Johnson… rim running bigs, pick and roll actions, lob city, clean the offensive glass like rabid dogs.

no way he could "D" that michigan 4, we need a true 4 that can rotate to 5 along with backup 5

All three of our 5’s played this year due to injuries. All three of our veteran point guard’s played on our way to the championship game. Last season, we unfortunately finished our season with one point guard on one leg. This season we had 3 point guards and 4 centers on our roster and Alex had a back up also.IJS
