Stop what you're doing and turn on your TV or streaming box.

Ohio just tied up Rutty on the road. 31-31

Delaware making their FBS debut at home vs Delaware St. Blue Hens up 21-10 in the 3rd qtr

Buffalo (Ta'Quan Roberson starting QB) at Minnesota tonight.

.-.
Watching the Buffalo-Minnesota game... Buffalo defense keeping them in the game, and our former QB with 36 yards passing in the 1st half.

Cincinnati with a good idea to play Nebraska on a neutral field. It’s all red so they can claim they have more then 100 fans. I’m sure it’s 99% Nebraska fans there.
Except for the 2 in the luxury box.

.-.
The Nebraska QB is the most overrated player I can remember in the last few years.

Roberson looking better in 2nd half. Buffalo hanging on down just 3 going to the 4th. They are a solid team.

B10 teams really showing the MAC who is boss tonight…some things never change

Rutgers beats Ohio 34-31
Wisconsin up 3-0 on Miami (OH) in the 3rd
Minnesota struggling to pull away against a TaQuan Roberson led Buffalo team

Obviously would have preferred Buffalo winning to improve the overall strength of schedule, but all things considered a pretty positive 1st day of week 1 for UConn no? It does not mean everything, but…
Delaware did not exactly show out against Delaware St, despite the win.
Buffalo’s defense is legit, but the offense puts no fear in my heart.
UAB looked weak while pulling out the win against Alabama State.
Duke was even with Elon at half and pulled away late (this game likely means the least with the time to gel and all that).

Don’t get sucked into assuming what you see it Week 0/1 is indicative of the true quality of a team.

Buffalo was pretty good against the run early but started to break down. That Minnesota QB is a baller and was throwing darts all over the place, but his receivers kept dropping them. Fleck was doing Fleck things early to establish the run and the Red Zone D of Buffalo was up to the task

I definitely agree, though I will put more weight into a team’s performance like Buffalo that we play earlier in the season and a perceived strength was continuity/retention.

Roberson had a typical Roberson game. Maybe it was because he was playing against a B1G defense, but I still didn’t see an ability to throw over the middle/slants or run the ball. I was thinking the farther he got away from his injuries his running game would improve. But…maybe it will against weaker teams.

I am sure he will be fired up to put up big numbers on UConn.

Noticed the same thing. There was one particular play on a 3rd and medium, and rather than look for a receiver over the middle to move the chains, he looked for a low probability deep ball down the sideline and badly overthrew it

Roberson looked god awful. I was worried about playing Buffalo this year but now I feel a lot better.

That 40 yard bomb he threw for a TD looked great, but that was essentially it for him and the offense the rest of the game.

Their D held up pretty good though... They will be an extremely tough road test for us because of that alone.
