Power was from Worcester Mass too (an hour away). Could've came to UConn instead of being buried in the bench.

Might be buried at UConn also. He’d at least be behind Karaban and maybe behind Stewart

“Small or big or whatever, it’s still about effort,” Duke coach Jon Scheyer said. “It’s still about blocking out and pursuing the ball. We’re going to find a few times tonight when we stood and watched.” Dook doesn’t breed hungry dogs like we do.

Doing what literally every team does in HS and CBB now?
Sure they could have let another second or two come off the clock but fouling is absolutely the play when up 3 now.
And it took coaches way too long to get comfortable with that strategy. Finally it is now getting used.

Tennessee should be a top 5 team. Knecht is legit. They finally have that guy that they can rely on to score in a grindy game that their defense assures they will be in.

Scheyer pretty much went with a 7 man rotation. Only two bench player got more than 10 minutes and Stewart had the next most at 4 minutes. Wow all that talent and their coach thinks they are 7 deep. They might have a long year. But that will only make the hype for the new class coming in greater. I mean they really did not look good tonight. If I were a Dook fan I would be worried. #2 my a**!

Good point. But we probably wouldn't have recruited Stewart if we got Power early on.

Filipowski might be nasty this year. But Dukes supporting cast outside of Roach is just freshmen and overhyped Procter. Not a top 5 caliber team yet, depends on how the freshmen develop, like last season.

Ballo and Johnson is a beastly front court, Boswell is good, Love still sucks, and Lloyd can still coach. Very concerned about their lack of shooting.

Such an ugly brand of basketball. Hard to watch and yeah, they certainly don’t look like a top 20 team tonight.
Honestly we were kinda lucky that they plucked their way to the NC game lol (not that we were going to lose to anyone at that point) that team was never that good last year

Overhyped Proctor? Wholeheartedly disagree. Kid is a player.

All they play is grindy games. That type of strategy only gets you so far but that’s Rick Barnes’ style

Awesome game from Richie Springs!

View attachment 92928
Adding onto this, Quinnipiac's frontcourt additions of Springs, Wofford transfer Amarri Tice and Latvian freshman Rihards Vavers has transformed their frontcourt.

Paul Otieno returns as the steady, defensive anchor, but Springs/Tice bring high-ceiling athleticism/skill while Vavers is showing he can be a lethal perimeter scorer.

Is that allowed? That's strange. Bennett certainly didn't think it was allowed.
I remember a controversy in the PGA when a fan called in to say one of the golfers hit the ball or something in a warm up. They then penalized the golfer
