Oops...did we jinx Nova?
I stopped watching this game during the second quarter when it was still close.
Halle Vice of Marquette started off on fire, though.
I jinx almost every game I mention, but Marquette was ahead when I made note of it. So maybe my jinx didn't work for once. 85-69 final. The race for #2 in the BE remains open. Marquette and Seton Hall 1 game behind Nova, St. John's another 1/2 behind those 2.

Mulkey ready to go nuclear on her team.

There are fewer coaches these days that have the gravitas to DEMAND excellence from their teams. I appreciate watching it.

Blakes is a pretty sweet player on Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt probably doesn't have the horses for a very deep tourney run, but Blakes is a good "horse," even if today wasn't her most efficient day.

Up 6 with a minute to go, they let Blakes run it, but she takes a jump shot which leads to a long rebound and LSU is able to run down to a 3. Bad decision.

Gonna be interesting to see who ends up at #5 tomorrow. #8 Okla? #11 Ky? #12 Vandy? #13 Lou?

1st Chapel Hill loses

Now L$U loses

It’s all about the draw these days.

Personally, the only surprise to me (other than your jinx not working) is that Marquette won by 16 points. Didn't see the game, but point differentials for the first and third quarters were surprising.

No it is not.
SEC+, like ESPN+, is a subscription service.
You are correct if you don’t have it on your regular paid for TV service. Most people just don’t understand how to login to ESPN watch through their TV provider. I have Youtube TV, I do not subscribe to ESPN +. But I can get SEC plus and ACC network plus etc. on the ESPN app. It does make you sign in through your TV provider which takes about two more steps. It does not give you access to ESPN plus only content. I know what I’m talking about but feel free to miss out on whatever.

Just a word about inbounds plays in the Vandy win: why were they so stagnant? On both teams. It’s like one player moves for the ball, the others stand around, and then the pass is either tipped or the receiver catches it in a trap. The final inbounds to Blakes almost guaranteed that she’d be forced up against the sideline. This is not great coaching.

My guess is that Blakes is probably the best free throw shooter on Vandy and the only one who’s not scared to take them in that moment.

Too much isolation play by LSU that led to too many turnovers. Flau'jae has been a no-show these past two games. Yikes...
Seems like they have really disrupted their chemistry with these more uncertain rotations.

Was surprised at how points they hit up today.

I swear it didn't seem like Vandy was getting crushed on the glass. I guess it was the turnovers and loose balls and timely o rebounds that made it seem close.
