In Max Abmas' senior year, expect Oral Roberts to make their return back to the tournament.

The Golden Eagles' finishes their non-con 9-3 with wins over Tulsa, Liberty and Missouri State and started conference play destroying their #1 threat to the Summit League, South Dakota State, 79-40.

Led by Abmas, the Golden Eagles have always scored, but adding 7'5 227 Arkansas transfer Connor Vanover has helped solidify their rim protection and help build their best defensive team under coach Paul Mills.

Lipscomb wins, of course. L-ville was like a 3 point dog at home. what a shame.

They and we are at the top of the BE at 2-0.

Discuss.

Pitt on the verge of an all time choke job.

Pitt holds on against 'cuse in South Canada.

Absolutely horrible last five minutes by Pitt. Fortunately 'cuse only took advantage of all but one Pitt brain fart.

Looking at some of these other conferences....The Big East has UCONN, SJU, PC, & Xavier with double digit wins already. This could shape up to be a pretty deep conference.

Duke lost again as well. That is all.
It’s astonishing if you look at Duke’s roster the level of ranked HS players McD’s in the starting lineup and on their bench. Most teams would kill to get just one of that level player in their class. How many do they have?

Purdue fans on Twitter are obsessed with UCONN
nd on reddit...
Florida lost to Oklahoma and Oregon lost to Utah Valley.
Utah Valley was smoking them for most of the game too, up 20 at the half. A late-game run made the score kind of respectable.

Gonzaga didn't look that impressive in a 10-point win vs Montana and Baylor beat Northwestern STATE by 10 as well.

As I suspected, our OOC has really fallen off the map with the exception of Alabama.
I mean Oklahoma is pretty good and favored in that game. But to your point none of the teams have distinguished themselves.

OK St and Iowa St are about the same place in KenPom now as when we played them. But no big wins.

What's our next best win besides Bama?

Since we beat them, Iowa State got smoked by Iowa and has otherwise beaten cupcakes (and St. Johns). OSU lost to VT and otherwise beat cupcakes (and Wichita State). Florida has 5 losses.

We're 4-0 in Q1, but 3 of those are a neutral site win over #31 Iowa State and road wins over #58 Butler and #68 Florida. Not exactly "marquee". We're not going to get a lot of high level chances either, with the next best BE team currently #36 Marquette (though there will be some shuffling over the next two months).

What's buoying our resume, besides the Alabama win, is the style points.

Another thing buoying our résumé is round and resides in the loss column.
