Week 6: non-UConn

PennSt AND Tex fall out of top 25. I think a bit harsh for the Horns as Fla is a good team that had to face a tough schedule this far.
But it’ll be clear next week — win vs Okla and they’ll be ranked; lose and not.

#9 Tex Tech @ #8 Bama // #1 OhioSt - Rose
#23 Memphis @ #5 TAMU // #4 Ole Miss - Sugar
#11 LSU @ #6 Oklahoma // #3 Ore - Cotton
#10 Georgia @ #7 Indi // #2 Mia - Orange

6 SEC - 3 B1G - 1 ACC*B12*G5

Bubbling under:
#12 Tenn, #13 GaTech, #14 Mo, #15 Mich, #18 BYU, #24 USF

How do you feel now? I noticed you didnt respond to my earlier post.
As I said. Best Miami team in a decade. They are being touted as a playoff team. Will they finally win the ACC after 21 years? Odds are good but a 6 point win over FSU wasn’t awe inspiring. They have a better QB, a higher payroll. Yet, after all the FSU turnovers, they allowed a claw back. I think that the Canes are good, but we’ll see.

UMass is showing no signs of giving up. They are talking about "over investing" $25M into the stadium. Which won't result in improvement on the field any time soon.

The good news is that I don't think anyone in the MAC has a winning record. They could win a freak game or two and finish in the middle of the conference and go 2-10!
Tbf, they just joined the MAC. I'm not saying they'll be a powerhouse, but the consistent schedule and money from the conference will pay off I I see now reason they can't go 4-8 every year

I mean I thought we would win more than 3-4 games a year when we had that AAC money flowing in. Until they have the right leader, nothing is going to change.

Very interested to see how IU does on the road against Oregon
I think they should consider it a victory if they keep it close. That’s a tough place to play. I see you are a Big 10 fan….what do you think will happen?

Oregon clearly has more talent but Cignetti has been a savant and with 2 weeks to prepare I think IU will be very competitive.
I think IU has the better QB

Florida State was certainly great during garbage time once it hit 28-3.

Can't argue that, but also the TV money screwed us in the AAC. It was hurting the whole AD as a whole

I think Miami will do a Miami somewhere along the line and lose to an iinferior opponent, then continue the slide. It has been their mo for years.

Their sked was front loaded.

Their “toughest” games are Lou, @SMU, @Pitt, NCSt, and the ACC CG.

Stanford, Cuse, VaTech should be easy

They ain’t losing more than 1.

In Kent State’s defense, have you looked at their schedule? It is nuts. Texas Tech, Florida State and Oklahoma all on the road. That borders on criminal. They beat Merrimack. And they lost to Buffalo by a field goal. If they aren’t totally demoralized, I think they will win a few games in the MAC. Not the title of course, but they will win a few.
