Cal-Stanford is one i have my eye on tonight. Throwback Pac-12 style Friday night game. Both teams are decent, Stanford is down a bit from last year and Cal is improved.
Me too. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if we walk out of the Haas Mausoleum with a win.

I was watching volleyball, but 2 games about at the half I'm mildly interested in. Portland is dominating Portland St. in a cross city game (I'm not sure how much of a real rivalry the schools have w/ each other; I know for certain that Washington and Seattle U. is completely nonexistent despite being a few miles apart from each other). The other is BYU at Washington St. A battle of the Cougars. BYU has a much better record but not much in the way of resume wins.

BYU-Wazzu was close most of the way...then it wasn't. Delaney Gibb heated up and BYU ran away with it. She scored a career high 26. WSU fell to 4-6. Is Ethridge gonna have to get added to the list of coaches who had a star player make them look much better than they actually were?

I've watched a number of BYU games this year. Amari Whiting befuddles me. She seems to have all the tools, it just seems like she isn't playing up to the level she should be. Everything looks good, but she just struggles to get shots to drop. Shooting 36% overall and 13% from 3 so far.

Okay, but I didn't have Cal turning this into a blowout on my bingo card.
I'm a little surprised by the margin, but not the direction. We have no go to playmaker on our team, live and die by our outside shooting, and our best inside option is a 6'1" (and change) post who averaged 6 points a game last season. I have faith in the rebuild, but Rome wasn't (re)built in a night.

Gonna need to consult the ACC history books to see the last time Cal won by 20+
I found series history back to 1999.
Previous biggest win for Cal was 72-57 in 2007.
Over that span Stan won 49. Cal 7.

I had a fantastic time watching Cal drop 18 3s on Stanford. So happy for this team and Charmin!
