Wow. I've been complaining about Washington's offense, so today they decided to not play defense. Gave up 23 in Q1 to Green Bay. Sellers is keeping them in the game. She has 13. Other 4 starters combined for 2 on a pair of split trips to the FT line. Other 4 starters w/ 0 FG. That is not okay.
 
UNLV getting blown out by a Cincinnati team that has several dubious losses this year. UNLV is definitely down this season.

Lindy La Rocque has struggled All season to replace the three transfers from last year's team. McKenna Brackens is really lighting it up for the ASU Sun Devils averaging near a double-double. Amarashi Kimpson is averaging double figures for the Miami Hurricane and Macy Sheldon is also averaging double figures at her new institution.

It was clear that this offense was missed and Meadow Roland was revealed to have significant holes in her defense in the road lost today to Cincinnati.

UNLV will certainly have a much different experience Wednesday as they open Mountain West play with a certain victory over Winston Gandy and the Grand Canyon University woeful Lopes at Global Financial Center in Phoenix.

I'm hoping the transitive property doesn't apply when thinking about this loss. UNLV has played a really tough non-conference schedule last month they lost by three points to the Sun Devils in Tempe. I'm certainly hoping this 20-point blow out doesn't suggest Cincinnati is better than the Sun Devils a truly bizarre and troubling thought.

After seeing the box score and the 4th quarter totals, your penchant for jinxing strikes again. I so want to be there when you figure out how to harness this power for the good of the world. 😉
 
Washington needed a 23-9 surge in Q4 to avoid a loss to Green Bay. Not impressed w/ the Huskies so far. I think they are in for a rude awakening when they get into conference play.

Yeah I looked them up. They were in some small division just for Christian schools, but were transitioning to D3 in NCAA.

The SoCon only has 8 schools that play WBB. To fill out the schedule, you will see the member institutions playing lower level schools around this time of the year and into the first few days of the new year. Uncg has a few more arse whippings to hand out before the conference games start.
 
Good wake up call for USC. They might not have really understood where they stood before this game. Juju is out. The goal should just be to make the tournament this year. Win a first round game.

I like their potential defensively with Kennedy Smith and Jazzy Davidson on the court. They will annoy a lot of good players this season.

Actually, no, but I wasn't on this board in 2021. Big 12 or Bear fans that I'd run across didn't think that. Love her or hate her but nobody was going to be better at Baylor that Mulkey. Good news for Baylor is that the Big 12 is as weak in WBB as it is strong in MBB.
 
This Baylor team certainly was able to parlay that ONE win over Duke into fooling far too many voters they are actually good. They only played one other team with a pulse-Iowa and lost at HOME so I was always dubious about this team and Collen's coaching (or lack) credentials.

She's gotten some talent to go there but I am not sure there is a scheme or philosophy in place-either offensively or defensively. The AD that lost Mulkey and hired Collen, Mark Rhoades just resigned under unknown circumstances so the new AD may not be as inclined to prop Collen up when her contract expires.

Can't wait for conference play to start and these schools that I don't think are actually colleges or universities to stop appearing on schedules. On today's slate: Lourdes University, Ripon College, Champion Christian, Christopher Newport University, Mars Hill (I remember that being a faddish chain of churches at one point). Never heard of any of these schools prior to today.

28 assist today. Winthrop is off to its best start since 2013.

UNC committed a turnover and missed several FTs in the final minute. Should’ve won.
