Week 6 Dec 11 to Dec 17, 2023

Interesting. I swear that 30 years ago Stanford used to have December off, but started Q2 like Jan 2.
Nope, I was there in the 70s (BS MS '75). "Reading week" was called "Dead WeeK" to be used for finals prep. My daughter graduated in 2015 and same schedule.

I didn't realize UCLA was so young (mostly sophomores) until I saw a graphic during the game last night. With the exception of Charisma Osborne, all impact players will be back next season. Barring off-season transfers and injuries, it looks like UCLA will be able to maintain this level of excellence for the next 2-3 years...and possibly longer.

Add in a solid recruiting class this ( 14, 24, 27) year and jump on the next class with Sienna Betts. You have the makings of an annual contender program.

But they have to keep SoCal in their rear view mirror. Odd to think that most Cali prospects will be looking at playing in the Big.

I was just thinking that I bet Geno tried to get someone to travel there as Duquesne did for Kia's homecoming.

Well, god bless Lance White and shame on Tory Verdi. Yet another reason to root against them this year.

Seeing that it was Pitt, that makes sense to an extent. That team had a couple Canadians from Montreal, QC before they transferred out after White's firing.

It could have been seen as a homecoming game for them as well since Montreal is a 6 hour drive and a short jaunt if taking the train.
