I was kinda rooting for Quinnipiaic. Nice to see them resurgent after fading into the background for a while.

Miami won by 9. 30 for Haley, almost a triple double 30/7/9.

LSU was trying to break the all-time LSU scoring record of 133. I watched the game and the NCCU team actually seemed pleased they held them under that.
These types of games are brutal. I look forward to the Stanford and LSU game

I don't know how LSU even schedules these teams. How do they come to mind? How does LSU get in touch with them? Does LSU have a coach that looks for teams with sub 200 rpi's? How does it work? I have no idea.
Kim wants to catch Geno and his record, so she plays all of the auto wins before SEC play. I believe that she has set records for being the fastest to reach 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 wins. She did it at Baylor and now LSU.

Interesting. I have never considered that the wins record could be her goal. Strange goal tbh.

There was an interview back when she got #500 if I remember correctly and she stated she wanted to have the most wins when she retired. I believe that she thought that Geno and Tara wouldn't be coaching as long as they have.

I remember that some NCAA piece that came out after LSU won their NC that the writer said she had a record of something like 1397 wins and 189 losses when she steps on the floor. They were counting her wins as a college player, Team USA player, assistant coach and head coach.

Kim may retire before Geno. I don’t see her doing well with the increased parity in SEC play with Texas, OU, rising Ole Miss and TN team tbh.

She isn’t bringing in the elite dawgs like Baylor and coaching wise struggles to do well when people have similar talent

Amari has a lot of basketball talent, but she is three things-

1. Painfully slow
2. Appears to lack any fire or passion for the game.
3. Not a "thinker" of the game. She makes really bone head plays.

IF these are true then the HS ratings agencies, CD, and Geno all BADLY misjudged.

Kim has no shot at catching Geno.

She is 62.

If she went 39-0 the next 13 years, she would have 1230 wins. Geno will have more than that by Feb.

Georgia with a terrible home loss to Hampton in overtime. Outscored 22-8 in the 4th quarter.
Huge win for Hampton! Holy smokes!! Will have to watch this game on YouTube, if it is on.

Haley hit the 3 to send the game into OT. She is a serious baller!

Thought she had the number 1 recruiting class coming in next September

Any real KM fan would know she doesn’t care about being the all/time wins leader. Please stop making up stories to further discredit her.

These agencies get a lot wrong more often than right. DeBerry is only one of many examples. With respect to Coach Auriemma and Daley, they're human and get things wrong too.

GM fans. No surprises yesterday, although WVU came within 1 pt of Texas with 43 seconds left, but couldn't pull it off. AP poll doesn't come out until noon-ish, and I've got some adulting to do today until the afternoon, so look for a week 5 thread later this afternoon.

ps - gentle reminder to keep the weekly threads about the top 25 matchups. Let's not rehash history of players' rankings. It is what it is, and even though they don't rep UConn anymore, let's show some grace.

Yes but if the issue is that she lacked desire, I would’ve thought that would be easy to suss out during evaluation.

I know Geno specifically looks at how a player progresses from year to year in HS.
