The ACCN Halftime show is the same show that was on this past weekend, an interview with Muffet.

I noticed that. I guess it bears repeating that "she's going out, having fun and not having to tell her friends to call her in May."

Elon called a quick timeout after Jakia Brown-Turner hits her first THREE of the game to push the NC State lead to 47-28. 8:49 left 3rd quarter.

Elon was led in scoring by Brie Perpignan, who was the only double-digit scorer with 11 points.

NC State won the rebounding battle, 47-28, and had 17 turnovers; Elon recorded 15 turnovers.

Up next: NC State goes to play at the dreaded Conte Forum to take on Boston College to open up ACC play. BC was blown out by Georgia Tech earlier today, 86-68.

Stanford is going to decimate Cal...it will be my chance to see if Cal is really the worst of the P5 schools. Also in the running are Colorado, Vandy, Auburn and LSU. The usual suspects of Pitt and Wisconsin still need to be seen but I suspect they are better than last year.

If transitive properties work it's a 60 point margin (common opponent Washington). But somebody will probably say throw out the record books in rivalry games. I'm still picking the 'Furd in a beatdown.

Oh, and I don't think there's any way Colorado is as bad as Cal.

UCLA hit 10-20 3's and wiped the floor w/ UCSB. Watch out if the Bruins actually start shooting the ball well. Horvat had maybe the best game of her injury plagued career w/ 17 pts/12 reb.

Well the final score does not indicate how interesting the game got in the 4th quarter but Virginia played better than I was expecting. Miller, while showing talent was also turnover happy and erratic too much of the time.
My take away is Clemson is not so great as their 6-0 record suggests. Plus, by posting I put this thread back at the top of the page to not hunt for the other game times and locations.;)

So is Kansas St. over South Dakota St. actually a fairly big upset? 62-53, SDSU ranked #22.

edit--the Jackrabbits had beaten Iowa St., Creighton and Gonzaga to start the season.

.-.
I haven't been paying a lot of attention, but Ohio St. has been thumping some of their non con opponents. Beat up Miami OH tonight 104-65, Juhasz had 27 pts/15 reb.

Not a big upset based on expectations coming into the season. Kansas State figured to be a competitive team built around Ayoka Lee and some other competent pieces. But yet, they looked bad in their early games and Lee got injured early in the Kentucky game and only played 4 minutes (notice that lucky and Kentucky rhyme).

KSU got Lee back in time for this game, and she had 18 and 9 on 7-10 FG, by far her best performance yet. SDSU had a miserably cold-shooting first quarter and found themselves down 24-7 early in 2Q, and never could make up the stagger.

.-.
Going to be lots of movement in the lower reaches of my next BY Top 25 ballot...with UNC and South Dakota State both losing Thursday, plus Northwestern making its season debut with a big win; I didn't even have the Wildcats on my last ballot.

There are a jillion games on Sunday again. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of the disruptive results.

So thanks to the alarm I installed on the daily games (no thanks to YOU!!! ;)), I watched virtually all of that game and was thinking, How is K-State not ranked and how do they have two losses. So I looked up the box scores and heard the OVER enthusiastic K-State announcers (all game they were too gung ho in the Wildcats favor) welcome Ayoka back onto the court.

This is a talented team and is my pick for 2nd in the Big12, yup, that's right, I am picking against VIC and the Texas fanatics on this board! :p

Utah is celebrating their big win over Oregon St. by trailing Montana St. at the half.

Well Utah has built up a 10 point lead about midway thru Q4. Gylten seems kinda spindly but she's in berserker mode, knocking people around and grabbing all the rebounds.
