Every TCU player who played transferred from somewhere else - 5 are former Pac-12 turncoats (3 from Oregon, 1 from Oreogn State, 1 from Cal), plus 1 each from Kentucky and ND. If that's what it takes to win these days, count me out - it's just free agency with no rules and unaccountable checkbooks. Fully recognizing Mark Campbell is a great coach, I just don't think this is the right way to build a college team of cough cough student athletes. And since 8 players are seniors/grad students, presumably he'll be doing it all over again next off-season...

Unrivaled can't come fast enough...
That shipped has sailed. I understand your frustration. That's just the way college sports works now.

I think most of TCU's players are on their third school. That whole notion is ludicrous to me. Definitely Basham, Bigby, Suarez and Scherr. You need to add in USC and Arizona St., because 2 of those players passed thru there after leaving Oregon.

I'm with you 100 %. I liked the NCAA allowing a transfer without sitting a year, but I hate that they're allowing unlimited transfers. For me just a small part of it is the difficulty following players/teams. I think it's bad for the players' educations. When I was looking at schools, most required you to be at the school for two years to graduate, and I think there's a good reason for that. And transferring/adjusting to a new school is hard work (on top of baskeball).

I know, this is the NCAA, education be damned. 🤯

TCU has 10 transfers who have attended 15 different schools NOT counting TCU. They only have 3 HS recruited players on the roster.

Well I do cut some slack to grad transfers like Suarez. She moved to Cal after she left school (Tenn) entirely for a bit when her mother was ill (died from breast cancer). She came back for two years at Cal, got. her degree and then moved on. I don't quite judge that in the same way. I wish her well. She's clearly setting herself up for the next level, but I wish she'd remained at Cal of course.

the heavy reliance on transfers, I like to

It might not be a bad idea to limit the number of transfers one team can have at any given time. NIL money be damned. This stuff is off the rails.
