You going to complain about Geno today? Strong played 33 mins and Azzi 32.
Nope because it's Geno and UConn.🙂
I also think that he knows that the offense seems to bog down when both are not on the court. The way OSU was hitting 3s, the 30 point lead could have evaporated easily...especially when OSU went on a 13-2 run. Luckily the Huskies responded in kind.
But I do acknowledge my apparent hypocrisy.

For as much experienced talent TCU has put together for the 2nd straight year I would have liked to see them put together a much more challenging non-conf schedule

Very impressed with TCU. They are going to be a tough out Miles, Suarez and Silva. Supposedly the tallest team in the NCAA.

TCU lost a lot from last year, but they showed today they are still a team to reckon with. Broke a long home winning streak for NC State.

Yikes
You may be aware that when UConn played Louisville in Annapolis to start the season the entire Navy WBB team was in attendance. After the game they took pictures and discussed basketball with Paige, who was there watching the game.

Coach P wins another one…. 😎

In the much anticipated Loeei Payne - Molly Miller battle in Santa Clara... The Sun Devils have unleashed their offense. Can't remember the last time ASU scored 50 in a half as they lead the Broncos by 13. Not surprising that a Payne lead team has scored 37. In fact for the first time all season at the half an ASU opponent has put up more shots as the Broncos have two more attempts than the Sun Devils.

Sophie Glancy has accumulated 3 fouls as ASU dominated the paint...30-8.

The Broncos do have an amazing shooting guard a grad transfer Ashley Hawkins.... She transferred from Gardner-Webb and has 16 points at the half.

Second half is going to be interesting. The Broncos have launched 23 threes and given their issues in the paint they may top 50 attempts from beyond the arc before this game's over

Devils survive a furious comeback by the Broncos. Led by Sophie Glancy Santa Clara gets up eight more shots than the Sun Devils by the end of the game. It's no surprise that a Loree Payne coached squad gets up 44 3-pointers.

That couldn't overcome the dominance of the Sun Devils in the paint and ASU scores 82 for their season high as ASU is increased their scoring in each of their four games.

I know Molly Miller wasn't delighted with the scoring defense but her squad hauled down 59 boards... 20 on the offensive glass.

Next up for the Devils next Saturday in Tempe Lindy LaRoche and the UNLV Rebs... A game I'm sure McKenna Brackens will be up for. McKenna led the Sun Devils with 23 points and 11 boards today.

South Dakota with a miracle three at the buzzer to win on the road against the Idaho State Bengals.

Wee bit of bad blood and no post game handshake. The Bengals Jordan seemed to be involved. In the game at Grand Canyon she got a technical late in the victory and her coach left on the bench the last 5 minutes.

I question when most every coach has their starters, especially their stars, playing 30+ minutes in games that are decided before the start of the third quarter. Now if it's because of lack of available, quality players, then I most likely am not aware of that fact because I don't follow other teams, just UConn. Thus my question about the Golden Domers' situation.
I think it's mostly because only a few teams (like UConn, SC, and UCLA to name a few) have a solid experienced returning core group of players. Most teams have lost their core group (like ND) and need as many minutes as possible for their starters (+ 1 - 3 bench players - which ND doesn't have really) in the non-conference games to get them on the same page. Practice only gets you so far in that regard. A combination of a couple of returning players, lots of transfers, and a few incoming freshmen creates the mess we're seeing from many teams this year. It's a new world for coaches and players and this is an adjustment period.

NOT a good weekend for the ACC

Pitt lost to D3 Scranton 69-63
FSU lost to Indiana 76-72
#10 NCSt lost to #17 TCU 69-59
GaTech lost to Jacksonville 69-64
#18 ND lost to #14 Michigan 93-54
BC lost to Providence 70-61

only positive was Stanford's win over Gonzaga

And Stanford had to work really hard for that win.

Every TCU player who played transferred from somewhere else - 5 are former Pac-12 turncoats (3 from Oregon, 1 from Oreogn State, 1 from Cal), plus 1 each from Kentucky and ND. If that's what it takes to win these days, count me out - it's just free agency with no rules and unaccountable checkbooks. Fully recognizing Mark Campbell is a great coach, I just don't think this is the right way to build a college team of cough cough student athletes. And since 8 players are seniors/grad students, presumably he'll be doing it all over again next off-season...

Unrivaled can't come fast enough...
