Hey gang - here are a few games of interest today. The purple shaded games are those where the #1 seed is already out.

Horizon Championship tomorrow will be Green Bay vs. Youngstown St., the top 2 seeds I think.

Not sure anyone was as disadvantaged by conference realignment as Scott Rueck yet Oregon State continues to peak at the right time
Kamie Ethridge, Washington State, whose program has cratered. This after Ethridge coached Washington State to its first NCAA tourney in 30 years.

For this reason alone I've always wondered why he hasn't been hired by a P4 school since the realignment. He has a proven record of doing more with less.

Deep roots in Oregon. OSU was probably his dream job. He'd have to go faaaaar away to move up. Might not be worth it for him.
Also probably wants to see the transition to Pac 2.0, and see if the conference can return to semi-major status.

Zags wiped the floor w/ Santa Clara, will have a chance to return to the NCAA Tourney w/ 1 more win. Missed last year but go more often than not.

Eastern Washington w/ a fairly big upset over Northern Colorado in the Big Sky. That tournament has been quite unpredictable so far.

.-.
Vermont survives and will face Maine in the America East Championship. #1 and #2 seed.

What’s the play for Carly Thibault-DuDonis? She’s talked about making Fairfield the Gonzaga of the East, but has done everything she realistically can there IMO. I don’t think they have the resources or allure to pull high-major talent. But she can clearly coach.

.-.
Air Force w/ a another big upset in the Mountain West, this time Boise St. They are in the Championship awaiting either Colorado St. or UNLV.

Fairfield-Quinnipiac is really low scoring. Fairfield on the verge of locking up a bid. Too bad for Quinnipiac, really good season.
MAAC teams shot a combined 24.6% (89/361) from 3P in the tournament. Cavernous Boardwalk Hall in A.C. seems to play a part.

Waiting for the right job to come along. She's smart enough to turn down interest from schools that aren't investing.
She's in a good spot and can wait a few years.
You mean like a school 60 miles to the north of her whose coach is close to retiring? 🤓
