2 years in a row taking out the #1 seed in the tourney. Await winner of Gonzaga/Santa Clara for the Title.#4 Oregon State beats #1 Loyola Marymount, 73-67 in the WCC semis.
Not sure anyone was as disadvantaged by conference realignment as Scott Rueck yet Oregon State continues to peak at the right time2 years in a row taking out the #1 seed in the tourney. Await winner of Gonzaga/Santa Clara for the Title.
Kamie Ethridge, Washington State, whose program has cratered. This after Ethridge coached Washington State to its first NCAA tourney in 30 years. Not sure anyone was as disadvantaged by conference realignment as Scott Rueck yet Oregon State continues to peak at the right time
For this reason alone I've always wondered why he hasn't been hired by a P4 school since the realignment. He has a proven record of doing more with less. Not sure anyone was as disadvantaged by conference realignment as Scott Rueck yet Oregon State continues to peak at the right time
Deep roots in Oregon. OSU was probably his dream job. He'd have to go faaaaar away to move up. Might not be worth it for him.For this reason alone I've always wondered why he hasn't been hired by a P4 school since the realignment. He has a proven record of doing more with less.
Waiting for the right job to come along. She's smart enough to turn down interest from schools that aren't investing. What’s the play for Carly Thibault-DuDonis?
MAAC teams shot a combined 24.6% (89/361) from 3P in the tournament. Cavernous Boardwalk Hall in A.C. seems to play a part.Fairfield-Quinnipiac is really low scoring. Fairfield on the verge of locking up a bid. Too bad for Quinnipiac, really good season.
You mean like a school 60 miles to the north of her whose coach is close to retiring? 🤓Waiting for the right job to come along. She's smart enough to turn down interest from schools that aren't investing.
She's in a good spot and can wait a few years.

I think Florida should be throwing bags of money at him. Not sure he’d be interested. Seems to be happy in the northwest. Even if they do try to hire him, I hope they fail. I have no ill will toward the Gator program, but we don’t need another rising program in the SEC.For this reason alone I've always wondered why he hasn't been hired by a P4 school since the realignment. She also has some pretty smart people in her inner circle.Waiting for the right job to come along. She's smart enough to turn down interest from schools that aren't investing.

My thinking as well. Some coaches are pretty comfortable where they are at and want to see that particular program thrive and that is the vibe I get with Coach Rueck. He has been there 15-16 years, and he has definitely been the definition of "Be where your feet are"Deep roots in Oregon. OSU was probably his dream job. He'd have to go faaaaar away to move up. Also probably wants to see the transition to Pac 2.0, and see if the conference can return to semi-major status.
Just add "recently" to your nobody dominating for an extended period of time. I don't know how long you have been following, but Robin Selvig had a long run at, IIRC, Montana.Looks like Montana St. made a little run at the end, but too little too late. Idaho gets the auto bid for the Big Sky.
My impression is that nobody has really dominated that conference for an extended time frame. Maybe someone has won the conference tourney back to back a few times, but mostly it changes every year.
