Week 17 - Feb 26 to Mar 4 (games, conf standings, NET)

This won't be popular here, but to me the Big East is a 2 bid league. UConn and Creighton. That's it. Nova, Marquette and the rest of 'em don't deserve a bid.

edit--of course I realize SOMEBODY has to comprise the 68 teams in the field, and I certainly don't want 9 SEC teams in there (of which maybe half of them are actually Tourney worthy)

Oh my goodness.

A few notable NET +/- in the top 80, after last night's games:

Hoping for a 3 or 4 seed for UCONN this year. If they lost to Providence and the first round
Of the BET would that drop them down to a 4 seed line?
Lose to Providence? Please, perish the thought

Not to tempt the woofing gods, but Paige could be forced to shoot with a football and UConn would still beat Providence.
I'll give Providence about as much chance of beating UConn as I gave Portland against Gonzaga last night--none.

Arby’s and Clem-Wake

Why not just lay down in a parking space and have someone park on you? It’d be less painful.

Referring to the arbys or the epic ACC battle?

Was a matinee, Utah had no trouble with Washington St. earlier today.

What did Illinois do to Michigan St.? Sparty up 56-26 at the half. Wow!

Not sure if you saw, but Alissa Pili was a guest on Haley Jones podcast episode that dropped today. Jones asked Pili some rapid fire questions, like “toughest player to guard” “Reagan Beers” or “game winning shot or game winning block” but also asked “Who is the biggest flopper” and Pili said “Bella from WSU” and I thought that was funny since they played today.

shout out @Dillon77 I think you're a Notre Dame fan. What an impressive victory over VT today. Their big 3 is pretty great when they remember they are great. Hidalgo always is aggressive but Westbeld and Citron are great when they are aggressive. Additionally, they have great size, and just enough pieces. IDK, I was disappointed when UConn lost to them, but they are pretty legit.

Vandy up 37-36 at Missouri at the half. Had a 10-point lead in the second quarter then started giving up wide-open threes. Also had a couple key players go to the bench early with two fouls.

The Jacks making care of business against the Bengals. ISU starts a Niki-from Split, Croatia, sophomore Nika Lokica. Like #10, this Croatian is TOUGH. At the half Lokica only has one foul and they must reach that disbelief reaction throughout Croatia. She only trails her countrywoman by 154 assists on the season.

Just been score board watching, but this one has been see-sawing back and forth the whole second half. Coming down to the wire.
Just watched the review that resulted in a foul being called on NCSU with .1 second left. Syracuse made 2 FTs to tie the game.
